Kre8tors Blog Hop Love & Romance

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more floral inspiration!

For today’s hop we are celebrating love and romance in preparation for Valentine’s Day! I decided to make a candy box using the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. I took a Snickers bar and made this custom box for my sweetheart for his Valentine’s Day treat.

I used the Label Me Bold stamp set to stamp the For You From Me sentiments and the little hearts on the Whisper White tag adhered to the top of the box. This is a great stamp set, and I love how the sentiments look like labels from a label maker.

The Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon wraps around the box, and the bow is tied separately and adhered using a glue dot. I think this really finishes the box well. This box is not meant to be opened from the edges, it has a small gap between the top flap and the top edge that can be used to sneak the candy bar out.

I also added a faux chocolate bar with a bite mark using some Early Espresso card stock. You can see all the details on how this box came together in my YouTube tutorial below. I also have written out the measurements for my box, although you can easily custom make your own box by measuring the candy bar you would like to use.

Check out my YouTube video tutorial on directions for putting this box together. It was so much fun to create. Be sure to subscribe to my channel. It’s not too late to get in my 5,000 Subscriber Giveaway. Learn more on my Specials page.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Keep the love going by hopping along to the next project!

Stamper’s Showcase All You Need is Love

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! I’m Melissa Tennison and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Oregon, USA. We are hopping with the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

The projects I’m sharing with you today are a couple of masculine cards featuring brayer colored hearts and silver heat embossing. I have never played with brayers before, but after making these brayer colored hearts, I think I’m in love!

For the first card, I put down a silver foil mat, then cut out a heart using the Be Mine Stitched Dies. I also brayer colored a scrap of Whisper White cardstock with Pretty Peacock and Mango Melody. Then I cut some smaller hearts out of that.

I heat embossed my sentiment in silver embossing powder on a piece of vellum. Behind the vellum is a small strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock to accentuate the sentiment.

I had quite a few pieces left over, so I decided to make a second card. For the large heart, I used the die cut from the previous card and heat embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder.

Then I used the leftover brayer colored hearts and staggered them using dimensionals and glue dots. I love how these colored hearts turned out! Have you used a brayer before? I highly recommend you give it a try! It’s so much fun seeing the colors roll and blend. Take a peek at my video tutorial below!

Measurements:

Card Bases: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Score @ 4-1/4″

Pretty Peacock Strip for Card 1: 1-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
Vellum Strip for Card 1: 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
Scrap Whisper White for Hearts

Seeing Hearts with the Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Kre8tors Blog Hop! If you haven’t been to our hop before, you’re in for a treat! We have 27 Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from all over the world collaborating to bring you some wonderful Valentines and Love themed projects. Be sure to read through each, leave a comment, and click the Next Button to hop around to everyone’s post, you really don’t want to miss out!

I first saw this adorable Triangle Treat Box from Beth McCullough over at Stamping Mom. They were so adorable, I had to CASE it, and add my own personal touch. The base is exactly the same as hers, except I added an embossing folder to mine. The embellishments on the front are my own design, and I really love how they turned out!

I used these as party favors at my Galentine’s Day card making class at the beginning of February. We made five Valentine’s Day cards, some of which you can see in my previous posts: Tufted Heart of Gold and I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

These really were fun to make, and I couldn’t stop! I think I made about 10 of them. They are addicting! They are also the first 3D project I’ve made in a long time! I’ve been making so many cards lately, it was really nice to get out of the card comfort zone and do something different. Do you prefer 3D projects or cards? Let me know in the comments!

Beth’s directions were super easy to follow, and she gave lots of great tips on how to construct this box. I’ve included what I learned in my video tutorial below. The Meant To Be Bundle really adds a special Valentine’s touch to the embellishments on this treat box. You can save 10% by purchasing the Meant To Be Stamp Set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies together in the Bundle.

Click on the Next button below to hop on over to Su’s blog to see her lovely project! There’s also a Roll Call List below in case you get lost along the way.

ICS Blog Hop – I believe in a thing called love

Welcome to this month’s Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world sharing beautiful projects with you. This month’s theme is “It’s a Love Thing” so I’m going to share a Valentine’s Day card with you!

I’ve used the Meant to Be Bundle for my project today. The bundle includes both the Meant To Be Cling Mount Stamps as well as the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. Purchasing the bundle saves you 10% and is a great value! I paired this set with the Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Crumb Cake colors from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely love how Stampin’ Up! can perfectly coordinate their products so that you know everything will match.

The Heart Epoxy Droplets are perfect for covering up glue dots, and for adding fun embellishments in any color to your projects. I’ve used one of our Stampin’ Blends Markers, which is alcohol based, to color in the Heart Epoxy Droplet.

I love how the smaller hearts can be built up in different layers. I used a combination of Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to get varying heights. I’m so pleased with how this card turned out, and it was a favorite at my Galentine’s Day card making class I taught on February 2nd. Be sure to check out one of the other cards we made using this bundle along with the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It’s super shiny with the Heart of Gold!

Be sure to click on the Next button below to hop on over to my friend Deb’s post to see her lovely project for this month’s hop!
