ICS Blog Hop Hello Cupcake

Hello Kre8tors! Thanks so much for joining me today for the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! This month we are SALE-A-BRATE’ing with some amazing products you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase! I’ll be showcasing the Hello Cupcake stamp set and teaching you how to put these adorable cards together! Be sure to scroll to the end of the post and click that Next button to hop along to the other wonderfully talented Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators that are collaborating in this hop!

For my project, I decided to CASE the Sale-A-Bration brochure. There are a lot of amazing projects and inspiration waiting to be crafted! I used the Hello Cupcake Sale-A-Bration set and created these two cards. I used every color from the 2017-2019 In Colors to stamp on both of these cards. Can you name all 5 colors without peeking at the products? If you love those colors, snag them quick! They will retire this year, and may start selling out as we get closer to the end of the current Annual Catalog!

The first card has a Soft Sea Foam card base and features a watermark effect with the sprinkles stamp. I achieved this look by using the same color Stampin’ Pad to stamp the sprinkles. I also used Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Soft Suede.

The banner is one of my favorite parts on this card! It’s so easy to make and whips up in no time with a little scoring and a little snipping. See how I made it by watching my tutorial at the end of this post, or by visiting my YouTube channel.

The second card I CASE’d from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure is this adorable miniature card. It measures 3-1/2″ square and features the cupcake again, only this time I used Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig.

I added some washi tape behind the cupcake, and stamped my sentiment in Memento ink on a piece of Vellum cardstock. I fussy cut out the frosting, however if you purchase the Sale-A-Bration Coordination item, Call Me Cupcake Framelits, you won’t need to fussy cut! I also added a couple frosted epoxy droplets and boom! This card was finished!

I really hope you enjoyed my projects today! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to click the next button below to hop along to Darla’s awesome project.

Open Craft Christmas Cards with Rooted in Nature

Welcome back, Kre8tors! Today I’m sharing with you one of the cards that I provided for my customers who purchased the Rooted in Nature bundle. Of course, I scoured Pinterest for inspiration and ideas. And because these are Christmas Cards, I wanted to make them easy to mail. This is the first card we put together during our Open Craft event that I held on Sunday afternoon.

The inspiration for this card came from Mandy Depiazzi of My Paper Trail. Her version was slightly different and included a beautiful metal trinket, however I wanted to make these cards simple to mail so I left that accent off. I also used Wink of Stella to make my trees and leaf accent glimmer instead of the Shimmer Paint.

I used two different colors to stamp my tree line using the Stamparatus. I’m not sure what the technique is called, but we will call it the “in line stamping” technique. The first row was 2nd generation Mint Macaron, and the second row was 1st generation Tranquil Tide. To see how this tree scene came together, be sure to watch my YouTube video at the bottom of this post, or head over to my channel.

If there was one bundle I could recommend to anyone, beginner to advanced stamper, it would be the Rooted in Nature Bundle. This bundle is so versatile and can make a whole plethora of cards from masculine to feminine, birthday to Christmas to sympathy, the possibilities are endless! I used the sentiment from another set on this card to make it a Christmas card. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the I’ll Be Home stamp set, which I can’t wait to play with more!

To make the embellishment in the corner, I used the coordinating thinlits dies to emboss and cut out the leaf from Tranquil Tide cardstock. I colored it in with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, and then cut another leaf from a piece of vellum. In my video, I turned the vellum leaf the opposite direction and tuck it just under the green leaf so that you can see more of the beautiful sparkly leaf. I tied a double bow from linen thread, and my embellishment was complete! It’s flat enough that it should mail easily without extra postage. Also, the placement of this embellishment is right under the corner of the envelope that would get a return address label, so that will help to keep it from poking out of the envelope.

If you enjoyed this card, be sure to check out my previous projects using this amazing stamp set!

ICS Blog Hop Last Chance SAB

Hello and welcome to the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! This month’s theme is Last Chance Sale-A-Bration, because this awesome promotion ends on March 31st! I’m using the Happy Wishes Level 2 set on this awesome Shutter Card! Be sure to check out all of the wonderful projects in this month’s hop by using the Next button at the bottom of this post.

This was my first time making a shutter card, and I LOVE it! It’s so much fun to make a card with such a different twist. I couldn’t believe how simple this technique was, I want to make loads more!

I started this card by stamping the “best” stamp from the Happy Wishes set in Crumb Cake and then I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the leaves, dots, and flowers. I adhered that to a Crumb Cake oval, and then added some ribbon loops behind with the Finely Woven Ribbon.

I stamped the “wishes” stamp on Whisper White and then cut that out with a small circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. This card came together so quick once I cut all the pieces. To see more details, check out my video that has all the instructions for you to make a shutter card of your own!

Eastern Palace Mandala Card and Desk Plant

I love the Eastern Palace Bundle! It makes such BEAUTIFUL cards with the mandalas (medallions). I also wanted to share a cute little card buddy I made, a desk plant! I was going for a succulent vibe, but ended up with green flowers. I still love it so much! It’s the perfect accent to use when photographing my projects.

I participated in the Color Inkspiration Challenge 26 from Facebook for this project. It was a tough one, but I think I did pretty well. I really wanted to make a 3D project for this challenge, but couldn’t decide between that and a card, so I made both! Here are the colors from the challenge:

I really enjoyed these projects, and love how the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon weaves in and out from behind the mandala. It adds a lot of sparkle to this muted card. I also used the Gold Vinyl Stickers from the Eastern Palace Suite which add a nice touch.

For my little potted plant, I used a fun technique that I have made time and time again, because paper flowers are fun! Check out my video below to see how the flowers are made. I also wanted to make the pot for my flowers match the card, so I stamped it and adorned it with the same metallic edge ribbon.

Measurements:

Eastern Palace Mandala Card
Tranquil Tide Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored @ 4-1/4″

Floating Easel Card Technique with Petal Palette

Boy oh boy, do I have a treat for you! This is my Floating Easel Card made using the Occasions stamp set Petal Palette. I think I found my new favorite paper crafting project! The rich color of the Fresh Fig cardstock paired with the bling of the Gold Glimmer Paper and the soft watercoloring of the flowers with Aqua Painters is just SCRUMPTIOUS! What do you think?

My coordinating video tutorial is very different from my normal videos. I don’t show you any stamping (except the sentiment) or cutting. I do explain how to make the floating easel mechanism, and what pieces I used from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies to cut out different cardstock embellishments.

I am just completely entranced by this card, and I hope you are too! Check out my video tutorial for all the details on this beautiful card!
