Tic Tac Toe Challenge for the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop

Welcome back Kre8tors! Today we are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. crew! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity! This month’s hop theme is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I’ve never participated in a TTT Challenge before, so I was really excited to give this a try!

We were tasked with choosing three squares in a row, either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal from the image below. I knew that I needed to make a special Birthday card for my Sister-In-Law, and her favorite color right now is yellow, so I chose the three horizontal squares in the middle.

I also knew that I wanted to use my host exclusive stamp sets, Artfully Folded and Very Vintage. I have been eyeing both of these stamp sets, and haven’t been able to think of anything very creative for them. I searched Pinterest for ideas on the Artfully Folded, but could only find three projects! I was very surprised! So, not only was this set perfect for my Sis, but it will hopefully inspire more out there to see the beauty in this sweet stamp set!

As I was going through the challenge, I had to keep adding bits and pieces, because I forgot which line I was trying to complete on the TTT Challenge graphic! So, here is a progression of my additions to complete the challenge line.

For the first image, I colored in the flowers with Pineapple Punch and a Blender Pen. Then I colored the leaves with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blend marker. I stamped the Swan outline in Tuxedo Black Memento, and then stamped the fill in with Pineapple Punch. You can see I’m a bit off in my stamping for this first project, but I figured it out in my video tutorial below! Come learn with me and find out how to stamp the image inside the lines! I cut my square out of the Stitched Shapes Framelits, but once I had this all put together, I realized I was still missing TWO of the elements from the challenge.

I inked up some of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon with a sponge dauber and some Pineapple Punch ink, and decided to add a little bit behind the flowers. Once I was done with that, I AGAIN didn’t have all three elements in a row from the TTT Challenge graphic. I knew it was a birthday card, but it didn’t SAY it on the card!

Well, that’s where the Very Vintage stamp set came to my rescue! It has an adorable “Happy Birthday” sentiment, that I think matches the tone of this card beautifully! So, I added my banner, and a couple sequins, and this card was complete! Looking back now, I think I could technically complete at least two more lines on the TTT Challenge graphic. What lines do you think I can complete with this card?

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this card has inspired those of you who own these stamp sets to get them out and play! And for those of you who don’t have these sets yet, have I changed your mind? They are so much fun to play with, and I can’t wait to continue designing beautiful projects with them! February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop with Lots of Lavender

Welcome to the February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! This is our second hop, and I’m so excited to continue working with so many talented demonstrators in sharing our passion for paper crafting! In case you get lost along the hop, there is also a Roll Call list below the Next button.

For my Sale-A-Bration item I decided to use the Lots of Lavender stamp set. This is a GORGEOUS set and it’s really versatile. I’ve used this set on my Clean & Quick Card and thought it came out beautifully, but wanted to step it up a little. So this card was born!

I love how clean this card looks with just two main colors and a pop of an accent color. I used Rich Razzleberry for most of the coloring as well as my accent pieces and cardbase. Lemon Lime Twist was used to color in the leaves and stem. I did use just a touch of the Powder Pink in the ribbon holding the lavender bunch together. Oh, and we can’t forget the Clear Wink of Stella to give it the slightest shimmer.

The Stampin’ Blends are so much fun to color with! I used both the light and dark Rich Razzleberry markers to color in the petals on my lavender bunch. I decided to keep the petals full color and not use the Color Lifter to blend it out. I really like how crisp this looks against the white accents on the card. I also used some beautiful Classic Weave Ribbon in Whisper White to lace behind the lavender bunch.

Since the Lots of Lavender stamp set doesn’t come with any sentiments, I opted to use the Petal Palette Bundle to add the finishing touches to the card. I used both the label framelit and trellis thinlit to spruce up my sentiment at the bottom of the card. This paired with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits, I thought the card really came together well. I also added a little more pops of green for contrast with the Glitter Enamel Dots. LOVE the bling!

This project was so fun to put together! I hope you enjoy the video tutorial towards the bottom of this post to see how it all came together. Clean & Quick Cards SERIES 13 – Jar of Love Flower Circle

This Flower Circle card is so much fun to make! There are a lot of beautiful colors that compliment each other surrounding a simple sentiment. I love Jar of Love for this card because you can fit large and small stamps snug all around the circle to really make the shadow of it pop. Jar of Love can do so many things! From Mason Jar bouquets, and Fireflies, to adorable little Fish, this set can do a little of everything.

Step it up a notch with a stitched shape circle framelit and some pearls. Either way, flat or stepped up, this card is super cute and really fun to make! What other stamp sets can you think of that would look great with this style card?

Rose Gold Happy Birthday Card – NO STAMPING

I am ALL about that Rose Gold, baby! I love it! My computer, my phone case, my tablet, my accessory pouch, even my highlighter… if something comes in Rose Gold, I’m all about that! So, I made my take on a Rose Gold Birthday Card using our Happy Birthday Thinlits Die, some gold foil, and Powder Pink cardstock.

One of the great things about this card, NO STAMPING! That’s right, there are absolutely no stamps on this card whatsoever. There’s only big shot die cuts and some adhesive, that’s it! Such a fun card to put together. This would look beautiful in ANY color! I’ve used this Happy Birthday Thinlit Die so many times and love it on all my projects, especially on my Daisy Delight Double-Z Fold Card. There are so many great uses for this beautifully lettered die cut!

Swirly Bird Frame Card

Oh my goodness! This is probably one of my most FAVORITE cards I’ve made recently! I knew when I saw Swirly Bird I was going to LOVE it and for good reason! This Frame Card is TOO stinkin’ cute I just can’t even stand it! I want to make a billion of these!

I’ve done a lot of projects with the Swirly Bird stamp set and coordinating Swirly Scribbles Framelits such as my Swirly Nest and my Swirly Scribbles Steampunk Card, but this one tops them all! I originally saw a design on Pinterest from Kay Miller with this same idea, but a different stamp set. I immediately thought of Swirly Bird for this beautiful card.
