2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop – Occasions Petal Palette

Welcome to the first ever 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m so excited to start this hop along with some very talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators! January’s theme is Occasions to celebrate the launch of our 2018 Occasions Catalog! There are some AMAZING goodies in this catalog so be sure to visit each of the links at the end of this blog post to see everyone’s projects!

My project was using the Petal Palette Bundle. I think this is one of my FAVORITE new sets! I am sure I will be getting SO much use out of this bundle! I colored in the roses with our new Stampin’ Blends markers in Rich Razzleberry and our tried and true favorites, the Stampin’ Write markers in Garden Green and Wild Wasabi for the leaves. I did not use the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to blend my colors because I love how the outline looks.

This is set against a background of Basic Gray and Smoky Slate with a few fun little flowers falling down from the top of the card. Life is so much better with you in it and I’m so glad you are here to start off this Blog Hop with us!

Measurements:

Cardbase: Rich Razzleberry 4-1/4″ x 11″, score @ 5-1/2″
Mat 1: Basic Gray 4″ x 5-1/4″
Mat 2: Very Vanilla 3-3/4″ x 5″ (x 2)

Swirly Bird Frame Card

Oh my goodness! This is probably one of my most FAVORITE cards I’ve made recently! I knew when I saw Swirly Bird I was going to LOVE it and for good reason! This Frame Card is TOO stinkin’ cute I just can’t even stand it! I want to make a billion of these!

I’ve done a lot of projects with the Swirly Bird stamp set and coordinating Swirly Scribbles Framelits such as my Swirly Nest and my Swirly Scribbles Steampunk Card, but this one tops them all! I originally saw a design on Pinterest from Kay Miller with this same idea, but a different stamp set. I immediately thought of Swirly Bird for this beautiful card.

Measurements:

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Scored @ 4-1/4″
Frame: Approx. 3″ x 3″
Scraps: Approx. 4″ x 5″

Clean & Quick Cards SERIES 9 – Beautiful Bouquet

My next Clean & Quick Card is this fun and beautiful bouquet card! It features the stamp set Beautiful Bouquet and is PERFECT for numerous occasions! My favorite sentiment is probably the Thanks-A-Bunch, but there are so many different options with this set! I also like the rough and artistic lines framing this card. It gives it a bit of whimsy, I think.

I also really love playing around with the coordinating framelits to make beautiful bouquets that really stand out, like I did in my Beautiful Fall Bouquet card. Flat, or raised, this set is very versatile!

Measurements:

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored @ 4-1/4″

SERIES: Tag #1 Snowflake Sentiments

Welcome to my 3 part video series for my Christmas Tags this year! Here’s our first tag using the fun Snowflake Sentiments Bundle. I love heat embossing with metallics and the silver really goes well with the Smoky Slate background! The edgelits in this bundle are just stunning, and I love how it adds a whimsical touch to the snowflakes!

Be sure to stay tuned for the second and third tag videos in this series, Christmas Tags 2017! Subscribe to my YouTube channel and turn on the notifications so you never miss a video!

Christmas Tidings Half Front Fold Card

I really wanted to do something a little different, but still quick and easy. I decided to do a Half Front Fold card using some shimmery cardstock and glimmer paper. I used Christmas Pines stamp set with the beautiful sentiment and stars. It’s an oldie but a goodie. I love how it turned out! What do you think?
