July 2020 KBH Tropical Nights Color Challenge

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more color challenge inspiration!

This was our inspiration image. I loved how the palms were shadowed in the foreground with the beautiful sunset reflecting off the clouds in the background.

The colors that were pulled from this image included Basic Black, Basic Gray, Rococo Rose, Night of Navy, and So Saffron. The pink, blue, yellow scheme offers so many options because almost every color can be made from those three bases!

At first I wanted to use all three of those colors, but my first card attempt didn’t quite pan out. So I decided to go back to my favorite, simplistic card style and have a Very Vanilla base with some Night of Navy and Basic Black.

I love the texture of the Old World Paper Embossing Folder. I wanted to feature that on this very minimalistic card. I used Very Vanilla cardstock to cut a standard card base. I cut a card mat to go on top and ran that through my embossing machine using the Old World Paper Embossing Folder. I love how dynamic the texture looks!

I used a Sponge Dauber and my Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Pad to distress the card mat a bit and give it a little color. I added a globe from the World of Good Memories and More Card Pack. I love how easy these stickers are to apply!

The Basic Black and Gold Foil strip of DSP is from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper and makes the perfect accent to place behind my sentiment. I stamped the words in Night of Navy and cut it out using the globe die from the World Map Dies.

To add a little bit of oomph to the inside of the card, I stamped one of the large globes in Night of Navy. I really love decorating the inside of the cards, but often forget! I’m so glad I remembered on this one. It’s going to be a special birthday card for my uncle.

And that’s it! This card came together quickly with just a few materials from the World of Good Suite Collection. I love buying products in the suite collections because I know I can make so many different projects with just a few supplies!

KBH June 2020 Masculine Card

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month’s theme is dedicated to the special guys in your life. My dad’s birthday is this month as well as Father’s Day here in the U.S. so I really wanted to make a special card for him! I got to play with the World of Good Suite Collection for this card and love all the beautiful elements!

Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more masculine projects inspiration!

I love all the layers and textures on this card. It’s something totally out of my norm, but I really enjoyed the process of creation. It took over an hour to make, but my video is condensed into about 16 minutes.

I had no idea what I wanted to create when I started and just kind of played around until this idea started forming. You can notice two of the globes on this card, one is from the sticker sheet in the memories and more card pack from the suite collection. The other is also partially from the sticker pack… check out my video to see how I made it!

I love this torn vellum look with the gold fibers. This was so different, but so fun to make! It looks like the world is bursting through the vellum.

The black cardstock with the gold foil grid is also from the memories and more card pack, as well as the Cinnamon Cider DSP. I ran that through the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder to give it some texture and then used a sponge dauber to distress.

I am so pleased with this card and can’t wait to give it to my father at his Birthday/Father’s Day party! Can you tell there’s lots of layers to this card? I probably used 30 dimensionals! Okay, maybe that’s a stretch… or is it…? Watch the video and comment on this post or the video with your guess!

I’m also working on my hand lettering. I haven’t used Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin’ Write Marker in Basic Black to letter before, but I think with a little more practice it will work beautifully!

A couple additional stickers from the memories and more card pack and this card is done! I love how it turned out! Check out my YouTube video below to see it comes together, and to check out my tricks sprinkled throughout the video! Don’t forget to…

The Kre8tors First VLOG Hop

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the first Kre8tors VLOG Hop! Today we are sharing our projects via YouTube videos! So head on over to my YouTube channel to get started. Once there, click on the description of the video to hop along to everyone’s projects.

I absolutely love CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) the catalogs. Not only can we use our catalogs to find great products to buy, but we can also use it as a design book! There are so many beautiful projects in there, the possibilities are nearly endless!

I chose to CASE one of the cards from the Forever Greenery Suite Collection on page 108 in the brand new Annual Catalog. I was so pleased with how this card turned out. It came together very quickly with all of the coordinating products from the collection.

I love the speckled background. I used the speckled stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set and stamped it onto the embossed background in the same color as my card stock. It gives it a watermark effect and just adds a little texture.

The leaves are all cut out of the designer series paper using the coordinating die cuts. I love that Stampin’ Up! designs their products to all play together so well. It makes crafting so simple and quick!

Watch my video below to see how this card came together.

Quick Mailing Cards with Peaceful Poppies

Hello Kre8tors, welcome to my blog! Today’s project is a super quick one! I had my gallbladder removed last Tuesday, so I’ve been away from my craft room the last week. I had this video filmed and just needed to get it ready to go, so instead of not giving you a Wednesday video this week, I thought you might enjoy this one!

I wanted to put together some thank you cards for some of my customers and I wanted them to be easy to mail. I went live in my exclusive Facebook group for my customers and team members to get their input in putting this card together. I made 12 cards in under an hour.

Want to join me next time? All you need to do is place an order with me, and I will e-mail you an invitation to join my Facebook group! I’d love to see you there!

Check out my video tutorial below and craft with me!

Jumping Boxes Tutorial

Hello Kre8tors, welcome to my blog! Today I’m sharing a SUPER FUN interactive project with you. Jumping Boxes! These are SO neat! I was a little intimidated at first, I didn’t know how they worked or how difficult they would be, but the truth is if you can use scissors and have a rubber band,
you CAN make these! Scroll down for a video tutorial, FREE PDF tutorial, and template!

My husband made a pair of beaded stitch markers for my mom for Mother’s Day and asked me to make a little package to put them in. Well, I didn’t want a plain ol’ boring box. I wanted something FUN! And FUN is exactly what I made! These jumping boxes are so neat, they just jump right out at you when you open the matchbox style box.

The boxes fold completely flat and once they are released, the spring open with the rubber band mechanism. Pretty neat, huh?! Not to mention, the Peaceful Poppies suite makes this box look good!

I used the Peaceful Poppies DSP, Elements and Sequins to decorate the outside of the box. The sentiment is from the stamp set A Wish For Everything. I really love how easy and quick the decorations came together. These products are perfect for fast creations! They are all retiring, so hopefully it’s not too late to grab yours if they are still in stock by the time this blog post goes up!

Along with my husband’s gift box to house his present, I wanted my gift to my mom to match, so I used some of our DSP and wrapped up my gift. I used the beautiful Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to finish it off. Along with this matching card, which you can see here, and her gifts were done!

Check out my video tutorial below, download the FREE PDF Tutorial, and the coordinating Template and make your own jumping boxes! I would love to see your creation, so be sure to tag me on social media @mkre8tions
