Kre8tors Blog Hop Love & Romance

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more floral inspiration!

For today’s hop we are celebrating love and romance in preparation for Valentine’s Day! I decided to make a candy box using the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. I took a Snickers bar and made this custom box for my sweetheart for his Valentine’s Day treat.

I used the Label Me Bold stamp set to stamp the For You From Me sentiments and the little hearts on the Whisper White tag adhered to the top of the box. This is a great stamp set, and I love how the sentiments look like labels from a label maker.

The Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon wraps around the box, and the bow is tied separately and adhered using a glue dot. I think this really finishes the box well. This box is not meant to be opened from the edges, it has a small gap between the top flap and the top edge that can be used to sneak the candy bar out.

I also added a faux chocolate bar with a bite mark using some Early Espresso card stock. You can see all the details on how this box came together in my YouTube tutorial below. I also have written out the measurements for my box, although you can easily custom make your own box by measuring the candy bar you would like to use.

Check out my YouTube video tutorial on directions for putting this box together. It was so much fun to create. Be sure to subscribe to my channel. It’s not too late to get in my 5,000 Subscriber Giveaway. Learn more on my Specials page.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Keep the love going by hopping along to the next project!

Stamper’s Showcase 2019 Holiday Catalog Favorites

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

The project I decided to create is an adorable paper box from the gorgeous Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. These boxes are super fun and quick to put together! In my YouTube tutorial, I show you how to calculate your measurements so that you can make a variety of sizes!

I like to have options when creating my boxes and think they look so cute on the plates at a beautifully set table for the holidays. You can put in a couple of chocolates, maybe some lottery tickets, or just cute notes to your family and friends. What would you put inside?

The length and width of all the boxes I made here are 3″ x 3″ and vary in height, with the tallest measuring 2-1/2″. You can make them so you can’t see the bottom part of the box, or make a shorter lid and a taller base so you can see the contrast. There are just so many options!

I really hope you enjoyed this project, and would love to see your boxes after you give them a try! Tag me on Instagram (@MKre8tions) so that I can share your beautiful projects!

August 2019 Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Holiday Catalog

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

This month we are sharing Holiday Catalog projects! The new catalog will be available for customers to order from on September 4, so we hope you enjoy all of this cheerful inspiration to fuel your wish list! I decided to pre-order the Toile Tidings Suite Bundle, which came with not one, but TWO stamp sets with coordinating dies, two rolls of Ribbon, one pack of DSP, one pack of Gift Wrap, and some Glitter Enamel Dots. This bundle of products is perfect for coordinating multiple projects as well as all of your holiday cards!

I just love the cardinal, and wanted to make sure my first project was with him. I absolutely ADORE this bird, and think he came out really well. I watercolored the branch he sits upon, and a little bit of him as well. You can check out how I put this all together in my video tutorial below.

I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) the catalog to make this card, and so glad I did because I learned a lot about how to best use these products and what tricks I can use on my future cards. The bow turned out beautiful! There are so many different bow tying methods, but this one is my favorite. I show you how I achieve this bow in my video tutorial.

Kre8tors Autumn Color Challenge

Hello, Kre8tors! I’m Melissa from Melissa’s Kre8tions. Welcome back to the 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! Today we are celebrating Autumn with a color challenge! I’ve provided our hop participants with the following color palette to create their projects. I think they’ve all done an amazing job, what do you think? If you’d like to create your own project using this color scheme, upload a picture of your finished project to social media and tag me on your post so that I can see your wonderful creation and share it with my followers! See the Social Media buttons at the bottom of this post to find out where you can share!

So, our color challenge theme is Autumn, and the photo above is the inspiration for our color palette. I challenged our lovely demonstrators with using at least 3 out of 5 of the colors above, and in addition to those, they are allowed to use black, white, and vanilla. Here’s what I came up with!

As I was perusing Pinterest, I came across a photo that had a beautiful dark background with colorful leaves all over. I clicked on the photo to find out more, however there was no link to follow. The only information that was on the pin said Patsy Collins and Josephs Coat Technique. She did a great job using the photo to show step by step how this technique works. I wanted to recreate her technique using the beautiful Rooted in Nature stamp set. I am in LOVE with how it turned out!

The colors I chose to use are Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, and Granny Apple Green. We were allowed to use Black and Whisper White as well. I think these colors are so beautiful together! They remind me of Autumn and rainbow sherbet ice cream! Yum!

Check out my video tutorial to learn how to make this fun and colorful background using the Joseph’s Coat Technique! Don’t forget to hop around to all of the very talented demonstrators that are part of our wonderful Kre8tors Blog Hop! They’ve all worked very hard on these projects! Click the next button below, and use the Roll Call list if you get lost along the way.

Frame Card with Party Pandas & Challenge Winner

Party Pandas have done it again! They are floating right into my heart on this fun Frame Card. There are so many beautiful color combinations that could be used on this adorable card, but I think I am favoring the Real Red over the Bermuda Bay out of the two I’ve made so far. Which is your favorite?

I love adding texture to the background with the Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Scattered Sequins. It looks so great on this Frame Card especially because it allows you to see more of that beautiful background through the frame.

The Basic Black Metallic Thread I used behind the panda also gives this card a fun and whimsical touch, not to mention the watercoloring on the balloon. For a simple and fast version of this card, check out my Clean & Quick 19 Party Pandas Card. Remember, the only way to get your hands on this Party Pandas stamp set is for FREE during Sale-A-Bration by placing a qualifying order on my website!

Whether you make your frame thick or thin, this card has so many design possibilities! This card was inspired by the Focal Accent Sketch Challenge in my VIP Stamp Lounge, exclusive for my customers and downlines. I think the challenge winner, Pam, did such a wonderful job on her card!

I’ve included a copy of this sketch challenge so you can re-create this card, too! If you make it, please be sure to tag me on your photo, or send me a copy! I’d love to see your creativity!

Measurements:

Real Red Cardbase: 4-1/4″ x 11″, score @ 5-1/2″
Whisper White Mat A: 3-3/4″ x 5″
Real Red Mat B (Frame): 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
Smoky Slate Strip C: 1/2″ x 3-1/4″
Whisper White Strip D: 1/2″ x 1-1/2″
Focal Piece E (Panda): Approx. 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ or larger
