Kre8tors Blog Hop March 2020 Color Challenge – Green

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more crafty inspiration! This month’s theme is GREEN! I wanted to showcase green this month for a couple reasons; 1. St. Patrick’s Day is this month! Always a fun reason for GREEN! And 2. to celebrate the fact that spring is just around the corner! I can’t wait for some sunshine!

I decided to use the leafy images from the Peaceful Poppies Suite Bundle. That bundle comes with TWO stamp sets with coordinating die cuts. I mixed and matched between the two. I watercolored my background, stamped a few images, and then glued on all my cut pieces.

I love the different textures the stamped images in the background provide. They really make this card more interesting. The leafy greens that were cut from Old Olive cardstock are all layered on top of a black circle from the Peaceful Poppies Elements. I really thing this black piece makes the greens pop!

The Old Olive Rhinestones are from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones pack. They were perfect to use on this card, since we could only use greens, black, and white. I wanted to add a little fun texture behind the label, so I used some Whisper White Thick Baker’s Twine. I was able to shorten the label by running it through my Big Shot twice. Check out my video tutorial below to see how I did it!

I’ve always been a fan of the splatter look and this stamp combined with the water color background look so neat together. All of these greens working together really makes me so happy! What’s your favorite color to work with?

I do hope you enjoyed this project today, and maybe I’ve inspired you to play around with a monochromatic palette on your next project! I’d love to see what you create. Tag me on Facebook or Instagram with @MKre8tions.

Christmas Gift Tags Day 4

Hello Kre8tors! Welcome to Day 4 of my Christmas Gift Tag Week. If you missed the previous three days, make sure you pop over to the posts for Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 to check them out! Now on to the next tag; my personal favorite! Plus there’s some bonus content, a Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration unboxing! Check out my YouTube video at the end of this post to see all of the amazing products I received.

There are several different style tags in my series this week which all feature their own little, unique flair. I hope you enjoy all of the tags, and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on my video tutorials.

I’m a huge fan of the red buffalo check that I’ve been seeing all over social media and in the stores this Christmas season. It just speaks to me! So I of course had to make a Christmas Gift Tag that coordinated with my decor so it would look extra beautiful under my tree. Thank goodness for Stampin’ Up!’s Buffalo Check background stamp! Now I can make it in any color I want!

I paired this background stamp with the very popular Winter Woods stamp set and coordinating dies, In The Woods. I stamped the large tree and sentiment onto Crumb Cake card stock using the Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad. I really love the look of gray on this card stock, it just gives it a more rustic feel.

After stamping my images, I cut out the tree using the In The Woods Dies and I cut out the sentiment using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. There are so many different sizes in that die set, it’s perfect for a variety of projects! It just so happened to cut out this sentiment perfectly. Again, as with a lot of my other tags from this week, I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to act as my anchor for attaching my ribbon and twine. I really love how it pokes out from the top of the tag.

I really wanted to make this tag super sturdy, so I made sure it had plenty of layers on it. The best part about using lots of layers and dimension on a tag is that you don’t have to mail it! You can build it up as much as you want and it will look stunning on your packages! All of my packages are wrapped in this beautiful lined craft paper, so these tags coordinate beautifully.

These tags were designed to last a long time, so whether you snag that tag back after the recipient has opened their gift, or let them re-use it in their wrapping next year, these tags should hold up really well! And here’s a peek at my inspiration for this tag. I found this adorable basket and wool blanket at Marshalls. The sign came from Wal-Mart, and the flowers were left over from a craft shopping trip to Hobby Lobby where I picked up the materials to make the wreath for my door.

Christmas Gift Tags Day 3

Hello Kre8tors! Welcome to Day 3 of my Christmas Gift Tag Week. If you missed Days 1 & 2, make sure you pop over to the posts for Day 1 and Day 2 to check them out! Now, on to the next super simple tag using Christmas Countdown.

There are several different style tags in my series this week which all feature their own little, unique flair. I hope you enjoy all of the tags, and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on my video tutorials.

This tag features the Christmas Countdown stamp set. I love how simple this little bird on a branch image is on these very easy tags. Such a beautiful image can pack a big punch on your package!

I used Memento ink in Tuxedo Black so that I could color in the bird with my Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend markers. I also used my Wink of Stella in Clear to add a little bit of shimmer to the branch. The To and From stamp is from the Tidings All Around stamp set and is stamped in Memento ink. I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch on one end, and rounded the corners at the other. I designed this tag to be able to be taped directly to the package, so you don’t need to use ribbon or thread, but still have the option with the punched out portion.

I absolutely love the way these tags turned out! They are so festive and would look beautiful on so many different wrapped packages. Leave me a comment and let me know if you like your tags to dangle off your packages, or if you prefer to tape them on flat.

Christmas Gift Tags Day 2

Hello Kre8tors! Welcome to Day 2 of my Christmas Gift Tag Week. If you missed Day 1, make sure you pop over to yesterday’s post to check it out! Now, on to this super simple, but elegant tag!

There are several different style tags in my series this week which all feature their own little, unique flair. I hope you enjoy all of the tags, and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on my video tutorials.

This tag uses two beautiful Christmas sets. The first is Tidings All Around which is the set I featured yesterday, and also where this sentiment came from. I stamped ‘Tis The Season using Merry Merlot ink onto some Very Vanilla cardstock that I cut down to 2″ x 2-7/8″ and punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. After rounding the two bottom corners, I used Mossy Meadow to stamp the pine and berry swag which is from Christmas Countdown. It’s a lovely set that coordinates with the Christmas Countdown Project Kit.

I threaded the Gold Metallic Edged Ribbon through the top of the tag, and cinched it with some Linen Thread to easily tie it onto my package, and not waste any of the beautiful, more expensive ribbon. I used the To and From stamp from Tidings All Around, and stamped it on the back of the tag using Mossy Meadow ink.

I absolutely love the way these tags turned out! They are so festive and would look beautiful on so many different wrapped packages. Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite tag style is,
simple or elaborate?

ICS Blog Hop Beautiful Bundles

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop today and we have some very fun bundles to share with you! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

I’ve decided to showcase the Sailing Home Bundle today, along with a few extra bits from the suite of products that coordinate beautifully. I’ve scoured Pinterest for some layout inspiration and came across Heather Klump’s beautiful project which you can see here. My layout is almost identical to Heather’s, but she used an older Stampin’ Up! set for her focal pieces.

I rarely make square cards, or any card that isn’t the standard 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, but this one really stood out to me. I loved the tile look and the floating accents in the foreground. It was a lot of fun to put together and not as time consuming as I thought it might be.

And I absolutely love the Sail Away Trinkets! They just add a pop of shine. I did color mine with an Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blend alcohol based marker, but it would look beautiful heat embossed in some copper or gold embossing powder as well.

Check out my video tutorial below to see exactly how this card came together, and subscribe to my YouTube channel for more video tutorials!
