MK Live 2/1 – Gate Fold Technique

Welcome back to Melissa’s Kre8tions Live, my lovely kre8tors!

mk-live-2-1-title-page

This is our 15th episode! We are going back to an old favorite, Jar of Love, to create a Gate Fold card! I had a request to show this type of fun fold, and wanted to get colorful for Spring! 😀

Still being in the hotel, I am somewhat limited on space and materials, so I’m making the most with what I have!

I apologize in advance for my poor connection quality. If you are watching live, the replay when the video is posted will hopefully be better quality. And if not, I will film a proper tutorial! 🙂

Recycled Card

I know we’ve all made a card or a project and either messed it up, got frustrated, or just plain didn’t like it! It happens to the best of us. So, what are you gonna do with your beautiful disaster? Recycle it, of course! I made a double slider card and it didn’t glue together properly. It’s been sitting in my “disaster area” for a couple of weeks now, and I decided to bring it out for a second chance. Watch the video to see how I recycled my mess-up.

Pop of Pink Milk Carton

This adorable milk carton box is made from the Pop of Pink designer series paper (DSP) and the best part is you don’t need a special punch board or other tools. Just a trimmer with a score blade, and a corner rounder!

Double Pleat Technique

My craft room is all packed up to head out to the Catalog Launch Party tomorrow and I can’t WAIT to share some amazing new products with my family and friends. It’s going to be a blast! If you can’t make it in person, I’ll be sharing live Facebook videos all day, as well as taking LOADS of photos! So be sure to head over to my FB page and take a peek on Saturday.

I saw Linda Bauwin’s Double Pleat card on her YouTube channel, and I had to try this beautiful card for myself. I used Pop of Pink, Stampin’ Up!’s NEW Designer Series Paper. I simply adore this paper, it’s gorgeous with Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White. (There’s a couple of Whisper White Pages with GOLD!)
