ICS Blog Hop Hello Cupcake

Hello Kre8tors! Thanks so much for joining me today for the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! This month we are SALE-A-BRATE’ing with some amazing products you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase! I’ll be showcasing the Hello Cupcake stamp set and teaching you how to put these adorable cards together! Be sure to scroll to the end of the post and click that Next button to hop along to the other wonderfully talented Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators that are collaborating in this hop!

For my project, I decided to CASE the Sale-A-Bration brochure. There are a lot of amazing projects and inspiration waiting to be crafted! I used the Hello Cupcake Sale-A-Bration set and created these two cards. I used every color from the 2017-2019 In Colors to stamp on both of these cards. Can you name all 5 colors without peeking at the products? If you love those colors, snag them quick! They will retire this year, and may start selling out as we get closer to the end of the current Annual Catalog!

The first card has a Soft Sea Foam card base and features a watermark effect with the sprinkles stamp. I achieved this look by using the same color Stampin’ Pad to stamp the sprinkles. I also used Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Soft Suede.

The banner is one of my favorite parts on this card! It’s so easy to make and whips up in no time with a little scoring and a little snipping. See how I made it by watching my tutorial at the end of this post, or by visiting my YouTube channel.

The second card I CASE’d from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure is this adorable miniature card. It measures 3-1/2″ square and features the cupcake again, only this time I used Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig.

I added some washi tape behind the cupcake, and stamped my sentiment in Memento ink on a piece of Vellum cardstock. I fussy cut out the frosting, however if you purchase the Sale-A-Bration Coordination item, Call Me Cupcake Framelits, you won’t need to fussy cut! I also added a couple frosted epoxy droplets and boom! This card was finished!

I really hope you enjoyed my projects today! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to click the next button below to hop along to Darla’s awesome project.

Ink & Share Blog Hop – Sale-A-Bration

Welcome to the first Ink & Share Blog Hop! The theme for the first month of this hop is Sale-A-Bration! That’s right, you are about to view SO many wonderful ideas on ways to use these amazing stamp sets and products that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase. I’ll be showing you the adorable Party Pandas paired with an annual catalog favorite, Painted Harvest. Be sure to scroll all the way down and click on the Next button to keep on hopping! Now, let’s head into the jungle!

My panda is having so much fun hanging out behind the ferns and leaves in the jungle! I saw a similar card on Pinterest using a different stamp set, and knew I had everything I needed to CASE it with Stampin’ Up! products. I am SO happy with how it turned out! If you can’t get enough of this panda, check out my
Frame Card using the Party Pandas stamp set.

I used Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy, and Bermuda Bay to color my leaves using the sponging technique. I inked up my stamp in one color, and then sponged the other two colors on the stamp to get the ombre colored effect. This card was so much fun to make!

And this panda from the Party Pandas Sale-A-Bration set is just TOO cute hanging out in the jungle scene. The panda holding a balloon from the set was the perfect stamp to use on this jungle card. And the best part is you can earn the Party Pandas stamp set for FREE when you place a qualifying order!

February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop with Lots of Lavender

Welcome to the February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! This is our second hop, and I’m so excited to continue working with so many talented demonstrators in sharing our passion for paper crafting! In case you get lost along the hop, there is also a Roll Call list below the Next button.

For my Sale-A-Bration item I decided to use the Lots of Lavender stamp set. This is a GORGEOUS set and it’s really versatile. I’ve used this set on my Clean & Quick Card and thought it came out beautifully, but wanted to step it up a little. So this card was born!

I love how clean this card looks with just two main colors and a pop of an accent color. I used Rich Razzleberry for most of the coloring as well as my accent pieces and cardbase. Lemon Lime Twist was used to color in the leaves and stem. I did use just a touch of the Powder Pink in the ribbon holding the lavender bunch together. Oh, and we can’t forget the Clear Wink of Stella to give it the slightest shimmer.

The Stampin’ Blends are so much fun to color with! I used both the light and dark Rich Razzleberry markers to color in the petals on my lavender bunch. I decided to keep the petals full color and not use the Color Lifter to blend it out. I really like how crisp this looks against the white accents on the card. I also used some beautiful Classic Weave Ribbon in Whisper White to lace behind the lavender bunch.

Since the Lots of Lavender stamp set doesn’t come with any sentiments, I opted to use the Petal Palette Bundle to add the finishing touches to the card. I used both the label framelit and trellis thinlit to spruce up my sentiment at the bottom of the card. This paired with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits, I thought the card really came together well. I also added a little more pops of green for contrast with the Glitter Enamel Dots. LOVE the bling!

This project was so fun to put together! I hope you enjoy the video tutorial towards the bottom of this post to see how it all came together. Don’t forget to check out the other members of this Blog Hop by viewing the Roll Call List at the bottom of this post, and clicking the Next button to continue on through the hop!

CASEing the Catalog: Facebook Live Replay with Petal Palette

Yay! I got a beautiful box of goodies last night and decided to open it LIVE on my Facebook page. Those that were able to join me live got to see these two gorgeous cards come to life using, you guessed it, the Petal Passion Suite of products straight from the Occasions Catalog! Woo!

The first card we put together was CASE’d and modified slightly. The sample in the catalog showed a square card, but I wanted to make it a standard size, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I was VERY surprised at how beautifully the Lemon Lime Twist stamped on Pool Party cardstock! It turned out BEAUTIFUL!

Using one of the Petal Pairs Embossing Folder on Whisper White cardstock, and tearing the edges adds a little dimension to this beautiful card. I also really liked how the Organza Ribbon looks tucked slightly under the embossed piece. The white embossing on the Basic Black cardstock really POPS and stands out in an elegant way. Not to mention blinging it up a bit with the Petal Passions Embellishment and some Rhinestones!

This isn’t my “typical” color scheme, but I was pleasantly surprised with how it all came together and how much I actually LOVE this beautiful card! I just want to keep making them! I can’t stop! Seriously! I might need assistance…

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 4-1/4″
Pool Party Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Strip: 2-1/4″ x 5″
Basic Black Circle: 2-3/8″ (Stitched Shapes Framelits)

For the second card, I got to dig into the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and my new Stampin’ Blends in Old Olive along with the Color Lifter! I still have some playing around to do with the Blends, but I really like how the Color Lifter softened the edges of the coloring.

I also used the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes to add some “dew drops” to the flowers. I LOVE the glitter! The Stitched Shapes Framelit circle I used was slightly larger than the one they used in the catalog, but still looks beautiful on this non-standard sized card.

I love how we can cut apart sentiments to create personalized sayings, like the For You on this card. I stamped two different sentiments and cut out the words I wanted to use.

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardbase: 5″ x 6″, score @ 3″
Petal Passion DSP: 3″ x 5″
Whisper White Circle: 2-3/4″ (Stitched Shapes Framelits)
Whisper White Scrap: Approx. 4″ x 4″

Background Bits Card

I love the Background Bits stamp set with this beautiful little flower. Coloring rubber stamps with our Stampin’ Write Markers gives a very beautiful effect to stamping. I’ve also used our Whisper White Craft ink paired with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder to create a statement that really POPS against the Basic Black cardstock. The pearls are a nice touch that really turns this card into an elegant creation.

Measurements:

Cardbase: 4-1/4″ x 11″, score @ 5-1/2″
Scrap Basic Black
Scrap Whisper White
