Belly Band Gate Fold Sketch Card with Beautiful Peacock

We are right in the middle of Sale-A-Bration and this Beautiful Peacock is strutting his stuff on this Belly Band Gate Fold Card! This card was inspired from a Sketch Challenge I offered to my VIP’s in our Facebook group to encourage them to use up their materials and get inspired to create! I absolutely love how this turned out, and I can’t wait to show you how I made it!

Belly Bands are so easy to make, and they are perfect for keeping Gate Fold cards closed. The simple embellishments on the center oval really add a special touch to this beautiful card. And yes, I had to use MORE rhinestones!

The challenge winner for my Magic Mirror Sketch Challenge was Pam! Here’s her beautiful creation along with the sketch image. If you would like to participate in my sketch challenges, just click on the Shop Now button! All my customers and downlines gain access to my VIP Stamp Lounge to see sneak peeks and gain entry to challenges and prize drawings!

I’m calling this sketch the Magic Mirror sketch because of how the center oval reflects the card’s personality. I really like how the Soft Sky and Basic Gray complement one another so well in this design.

I also decided to add some stamping to the outer panels to add a little more interest behind the belly band accent. I am so excited with how much this steps up the card! And I’m a sucker for flourishes, so win win!

February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop with Lots of Lavender

Welcome to the February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! This is our second hop, and I’m so excited to continue working with so many talented demonstrators in sharing our passion for paper crafting! If you’d like to check out our first blog hop, you can start at 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop – Occasions Petal Palette. Be sure to click the Next button at the bottom of this post to hop over to Amy’s blog to check out her fantastic project! In case you get lost along the hop, there is also a Roll Call list below the Next button.

For my Sale-A-Bration item I decided to use the Lots of Lavender stamp set. This is a GORGEOUS set and it’s really versatile. I’ve used this set on my Clean & Quick Card and thought it came out beautifully, but wanted to step it up a little. So this card was born!

I love how clean this card looks with just two main colors and a pop of an accent color. I used Rich Razzleberry for most of the coloring as well as my accent pieces and cardbase. Lemon Lime Twist was used to color in the leaves and stem. I did use just a touch of the Powder Pink in the ribbon holding the lavender bunch together. Oh, and we can’t forget the Clear Wink of Stella to give it the slightest shimmer.

The Stampin’ Blends are so much fun to color with! I used both the light and dark Rich Razzleberry markers to color in the petals on my lavender bunch. I decided to keep the petals full color and not use the Color Lifter to blend it out. I really like how crisp this looks against the white accents on the card. I also used some beautiful Classic Weave Ribbon in Whisper White to lace behind the lavender bunch.

Since the Lots of Lavender stamp set doesn’t come with any sentiments, I opted to use the Petal Palette Bundle to add the finishing touches to the card. I used both the label framelit and trellis thinlit to spruce up my sentiment at the bottom of the card. This paired with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits, I thought the card really came together well. I also added a little more pops of green for contrast with the Glitter Enamel Dots. LOVE the bling!

This project was so fun to put together! I hope you enjoy the video tutorial towards the bottom of this post to see how it all came together. Colorful Seasons Just Breathe Card

I had a hard time finding my mojo this morning, but it wasn’t lost for long after finding some inspiration on Pinterest to make this fun card! I used the Colorful Seasons Bundle and the fun, bright Daffodil Delight card stock for this scalloped beauty. I really love this bundle. Some of my favorite cards made with this set are my Baby Wipe Technique Card and my Clean & Quick Cards Series 5.

I love how easy it is to coordinate projects with so many wonderful tools at our fingertips! Stampin’ Up! makes it so nice to coordinate die cuts with sentiments. I find myself reaching for the Layering Ovals and Layering Circles a lot lately!

The bright yellow really perked up my mojo for it being such a dreary morning here in Oregon. And of course the Rhinestones make any card a little more perky! I just love adding bling to my cards! What is your favorite “blingy” accent to add to your handmade projects?

Deck The Halls QUICK Christmas Card

Here’s another super QUICK Christmas Card for your holiday crafting this year! I love how a BIG sentiment can be the focal point on a card with few materials. The Real Red and Old Olive really compliment each other on this Whisper White card.

The Carols of Christmas stamp set creates the focal point of this card on top of the beautiful Christmas Around The World Designer Series Paper. I wanted the ribbon to wrap around the card and with the bow at the top of the sentiment it almost looks like an ornament!
