January Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop SAB

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! My name is Melissa Tennison and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Oregon, USA. Today we are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

Today I’m sharing with you some cards made using the Lovely Lily Pad reversible photopolymer stamp set and coordinating die cuts from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. These stamps and die cuts are so great! There are so many different looks you can achieve using these products. I decided to keep it fairly simple and use just the lily images with a bit of splatter in the background and sequins dotted around.

I think the largest lily on the lily pad is probably my favorite. The way the reversible stamps work lends the image a very “rough” artistic element, which I quite enjoy. I used Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, and Pineapple Punch on these cards, because I thought those colors coordinated pretty well with the sequins I used.

I first stamped the solid image from the smooth side of the photopolymer stamp in my main color. Then using Stazon Jet Black ink, I flipped the stamp over and stamped the textured side on top of the solid image to get the outlined effect. I really like how these stamps lay down the detail on top of the color. It really makes the colors stand out and pop!

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to put all three lily’s on to one card, but in the end I decided to make three separate cards as part of a “pack”. Before putting my stamped images down on my card base, I took an aqua painter and dipped it into a pool of Pineapple Punch ink, then using the cap of the aqua painter, I flicked the brush tip towards the paper to get the splotches. I used the same technique with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in Clear for a bit of extra sparkle.

I glued down the sequins by taking some Multipurpose Liquid Glue and dotting it around the main image. Then using my Take Your Pick Tool and the putty tip, I picked up some of the sequins and placed them down onto the glue spots and held them in place for a moment so they would adhere.

Once all of my elements were in place, the cards looked a little too bare for me, so I decided to add some sentiments from the Painted Poppies Suite of products in the Stazon. I really love how these sentiments pop against the colorful elements on these cards. Be sure to pick up your Sale-A-Bration goodies while you can! Once these beautiful stamps and coordinating dies run out of supply, they are gone forever! Ask your demonstrator for more details, and if you don’t already have one, I would be happy to help!

August 2019 Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Holiday Catalog

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

This month we are sharing Holiday Catalog projects! The new catalog will be available for customers to order from on September 4, so we hope you enjoy all of this cheerful inspiration to fuel your wish list! I decided to pre-order the Toile Tidings Suite Bundle, which came with not one, but TWO stamp sets with coordinating dies, two rolls of Ribbon, one pack of DSP, one pack of Gift Wrap, and some Glitter Enamel Dots. This bundle of products is perfect for coordinating multiple projects as well as all of your holiday cards!

I just love the cardinal, and wanted to make sure my first project was with him. I absolutely ADORE this bird, and think he came out really well. I watercolored the branch he sits upon, and a little bit of him as well. You can check out how I put this all together in my video tutorial below.

I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) the catalog to make this card, and so glad I did because I learned a lot about how to best use these products and what tricks I can use on my future cards. The bow turned out beautiful! There are so many different bow tying methods, but this one is my favorite. I show you how I achieve this bow in my video tutorial.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge for the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop

Welcome back Kre8tors! Today we are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. crew! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity! This month’s hop theme is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I’ve never participated in a TTT Challenge before, so I was really excited to give this a try!

We were tasked with choosing three squares in a row, either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal from the image below. I knew that I needed to make a special Birthday card for my Sister-In-Law, and her favorite color right now is yellow, so I chose the three horizontal squares in the middle.

I also knew that I wanted to use my host exclusive stamp sets, Artfully Folded and Very Vintage. I have been eyeing both of these stamp sets, and haven’t been able to think of anything very creative for them. I searched Pinterest for ideas on the Artfully Folded, but could only find three projects! I was very surprised! So, not only was this set perfect for my Sis, but it will hopefully inspire more out there to see the beauty in this sweet stamp set!

As I was going through the challenge, I had to keep adding bits and pieces, because I forgot which line I was trying to complete on the TTT Challenge graphic! So, here is a progression of my additions to complete the challenge line.

For the first image, I colored in the flowers with Pineapple Punch and a Blender Pen. Then I colored the leaves with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blend marker. I stamped the Swan outline in Tuxedo Black Memento, and then stamped the fill in with Pineapple Punch. You can see I’m a bit off in my stamping for this first project, but I figured it out in my video tutorial below! Come learn with me and find out how to stamp the image inside the lines! I cut my square out of the Stitched Shapes Framelits, but once I had this all put together, I realized I was still missing TWO of the elements from the challenge.

I inked up some of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon with a sponge dauber and some Pineapple Punch ink, and decided to add a little bit behind the flowers. Once I was done with that, I AGAIN didn’t have all three elements in a row from the TTT Challenge graphic. I knew it was a birthday card, but it didn’t SAY it on the card!

Well, that’s where the Very Vintage stamp set came to my rescue! It has an adorable “Happy Birthday” sentiment, that I think matches the tone of this card beautifully! So, I added my banner, and a couple sequins, and this card was complete! Looking back now, I think I could technically complete at least two more lines on the TTT Challenge graphic. What lines do you think I can complete with this card?

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this card has inspired those of you who own these stamp sets to get them out and play! And for those of you who don’t have these sets yet, have I changed your mind? They are so much fun to play with, and I can’t wait to continue designing beautiful projects with them!
