April ISS Blog Hop – Anything Goes!

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

Today’s project features a fun-fold technique called the Tri-Fold Pocket Card. I needed to make a birthday gift for someone special and wanted to make it interactive and have several people write sentiments inside. I saw this project on Pinterest and wanted to give it a try! This is just Part 1 of the Tri-Fold Card, how to make the base. Part 2 will show you what I put on the inside! You can see that here.

I started with a sheet of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. The paper I used was part of this year’s Sale-A-Bration and is no longer for sale, however you can choose from a huge variety of 12 x 12 DSP in the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs. You’ll learn the technique for making this card, and then use what you have on hand or ask your demonstrator to recommend some coordinating products to make this project.

I used the entire piece of DSP, so there was no waste! I love projects like this! Then I used some scraps of Whisper White for the images on the front and the inserts in each pocket. I colored in this DSP with my Stampin’ Blends and love how it turned out. I’ve also made my own DSP before by stamping and coloring on a piece of 12 x 12 Whisper White cardstock. That’s always a great staple to have on hand for a project like this!

Here’s the template for the Tri-Fold Pocket card base. You’re going to score the 12″ x 12″ cardstock all the way at the 6″ mark. Rotate the card stock 45 degrees, and then score all the way on the 3″ line. Then with both the 6″ and 9″ lines, you are going to score from the halfway 6″ mark down. Cut away the X in one large strip and do not discard, because you are going to use that piece! Check out my video tutorial below to find out where!

On the front I used a piece of our Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to keep the card tied closed so it’s like a little present when the recipient opens it. I hope they enjoy unwrapping a ‘gift’ from our family, even though we can’t give it to them in person!

I used the Meant To Be bundle along with the A Wish For Everything stamp set for the front of this card. Hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day! I absolutely love the font combination of the “Happy Birthday” as well. Just add a few champagne rhinestones and boom! You have a lovely, fun-fold card!

ICS Blog Hop – I believe in a thing called love

Welcome to this month’s Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world sharing beautiful projects with you. This month’s theme is “It’s a Love Thing” so I’m going to share a Valentine’s Day card with you!

I’ve used the Meant to Be Bundle for my project today. The bundle includes both the Meant To Be Cling Mount Stamps as well as the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. Purchasing the bundle saves you 10% and is a great value! I paired this set with the Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Crumb Cake colors from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely love how Stampin’ Up! can perfectly coordinate their products so that you know everything will match.

The Heart Epoxy Droplets are perfect for covering up glue dots, and for adding fun embellishments in any color to your projects. I’ve used one of our Stampin’ Blends Markers, which is alcohol based, to color in the Heart Epoxy Droplet.

I love how the smaller hearts can be built up in different layers. I used a combination of Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to get varying heights. I’m so pleased with how this card turned out, and it was a favorite at my Galentine’s Day card making class I taught on February 2nd. Be sure to check out one of the other cards we made using this bundle along with the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It’s super shiny with the Heart of Gold!

Spring is in the Air with Ink Stamp Share

Welcome back to the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop! January’s theme is our beautiful Spring/Summer Catalog that just launched. It’s called the Occasions Catalog and is full of amazing and beautiful things! One of my favorite bundles is the Meant to Be Bundle featured right at the beginning of the catalog.

I gained my inspiration for this card from fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Cindi Clarke. I stumbled across her Pinterest pin and fell in love. I did quite a few tweaks to really make this card my own, and added the pink striped heart, side flourish, and removed the mat layer she used. I also chose to use our Gold Foil.

One of my absolute favorite features on this card has to be the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It gives a beautiful quilted look to your project. The Gold Foil really takes well to this embossing folder and holds the shape beautifully. I rounded my heart slightly to make it look a little “poofier”. Take a look at my video below to see how it’s done!

This is one of the cards I am offering my Galentine’s Day participants. We are making 5 Valentine Cards with envelopes. I’m really excited to show my students this fun project! Stay tuned for my other videos in the series by subscribing to my YouTube channel!

Love Notes Sketch Copper Inspired

I recently discovered two amazing challenges that I’m excited to participate in for the first time! I’ve used pieces from the January 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit to create this fun alternate Valentines Day Card. It has beautiful copper accents on a fun Flirty Flamingo water-colored and embossed background.

The first portion of this card was inspired by The Paper Players’ Clean & Simple Challenge: Love Notes #PP377 I loved all the different challenge cards the other crafters came up with and am excited to submit my first challenge card with them. Learn more by clicking the image below.

I’m also excited to submit my first challenge with the Global Design Project. They had a sketch challenge this week, #GDP122 I really liked this sketch, and knew I wanted to incorporate my Paper Pumpkin pieces with this. Learn more about their challenges by clicking on the image below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my project! I hope you enjoyed, and be sure to watch my coordinating video tutorial to see how mine came together.
