2017 Rewind: A Look at This Year’s Top 10 Videos

Hello Kre8tors! Wow, 2017 has been an absolute whirlwind of activity! I wanted to take a moment to recollect some of mine and your favorite videos from 2017. Some of the products in these videos may be retired, but the techniques aren’t! Let me know what your favorite moment from this year was, and I’ll do a “replay” for it with current products!

1

2017 started out with a road trip for me and my husband. We traveled to Virginia for 3 months while he attended school for his career in the Air National Guard. This was a fun mini-series to film of our road trip, which doesn’t have much to do with card making, but I thought it was important to note in this rewind. (I did haul all of my supplies with me however, and continued to film and create while we were in our hotel room!)

2

The next video in this rewind includes my most popular video for January 2017, a Melissa’s Kre8tions Live video featuring a popular Sale-A-Bration set, Avant Garden. I absolutely love this card design and will definitely be making another one with some new Sale-A-Bration and Occasions products!

3

Coming in at a close second for most popular video in January would be my Waterfall Card using Weather Together (which is still a current product in our annual catalog!)

4

February’s favorite video was the Corner-Pop-Up Card, also featuring some Occasions products from the 2017 collection. This card was fun and easy to make, and is a perfect vessel for handing out gift cards!

5

At the beginning of March my husband and I were traveling home. Upon our return, I started a new job and wasn’t able to make as many videos. Over the summer I only made a few videos but one of the videos I did make was not only my most popular video all summer, it is still my most popular video at all time just now breaking over 13,000 views! I am so stunned by this and thankful to all that have viewed my Daisy Delight Double Z-Fold video.

6

I left my job in October, which opened up more time to get back to what I loved, my videos and my viewers! October’s most popular video was my Merry Pattern’s Eclipse Card using an exclusive stamp set. This was a fun and festive card to make, and one of my favorites holiday cards of this season.

7

November’s popular video was the first from my tag series this year, Snowflakes Sentiments Tag #1 – SERIES. It features a fun and different way to use the Pretty Label Punch along with the Snowflake Sentiments set. I enjoy doing a tag series each year, and used up just about all the tags I’ve made!

8

December was a busy month for me and my videos! I posted a video almost every day, with the exception of maybe two weekends. I LOVED posting videos every day and being so creative! The 3rd most popular video for December was my Faux Eclipse Card using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle. Such a fun and colorful card to make!

9

The #2 most watched video in December was my Swirly Bird Frame Card. It’s one of my most favorites from the whole year! I love the color combination, the splotches of gray in the background, and the swirls from the thinlits.

10

And finally the number 1 video for December is my Daisy Delight 4-Way Fold Card. I really enjoyed making this fun fold card and it looks like most of you liked it as well!

And that wraps up our 2017 rewind! I hope you enjoyed this little walk down memory lane! If you’d like to see the supplies used in these videos, just click on the links in the descriptions and you’ll be taken to the blog posts with the materials used.

Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to read this through and supporting me through my Stampin’ Up! business as well as being my viewers and followers! I appreciate each of you! I wouldn’t be able to continue doing what I love if it wasn’t for your support and encouragement! So thank you! Let’s ring in 2018 with good thoughts and great times! #thinkpositivebepositive

Party Time Shaker Card

I love a good shaker card, but what if you don’t have anything to “shake”? Just use 1/2″ circles! Heck, you could even use all the little bits of paper that come out of the thinlits and framelits. I’ve used some Dapper Denim and Silver Glimmer Paper circles inside this Party Time Shaker Card and love how it turned out!

This is a simple shaker card for both beginners and advanced crafters alike. The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set makes for some fun embellishments around the frame. I love a good shaker card, and one of my favorites that I’ve made is my Jar of Love Shaker Card using some beautiful sequins. What would you put in yours?

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Faux Eclipse Card

This card features one of my favorite thinlits, the Happy Birthday thinlit which is featured in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle. There are so many great uses for this thinlit die, like my Daisy Delight Double Z-Fold card. The heavily stamped background sets a nice back drop for this thinlit to really stand out. I’ve added a shadow behind it with the same color card stock that is used for the base of this card.

And let me tell you what, the adhesive sheets make this SOOO easy to put together! I don’t know how I ever survived without those miracle sheets of glue! If you haven’t tried them yet, you really should pick yourself up a pack in my shop and try them for yourself! They are amazing!

Measurements:

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Scored @ 4-1/4″
Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Scrap White: Approx. 4″ x 5″
Scrap Lemon Lime Twist: Approx. 4″ x 5″

Don’t forget to use the current hostess code C994BZVS when you place your order to get a thank you card from me at the beginning of next month! Your support means a lot to me and helps me to continue doing what I love, which is making videos for you to enjoy.

Gold Arrows Birthday Card

When I was visiting family over the past weekend, I went into a really fun store and picked up the most GORGEOUS mug! It has a teal-blue color on the handle and on the inside, with beautiful shiny gold arrows, and encouraging words in black. I love this new mug so much, I was inspired to make a card to match!

I used the Hello Gorgeous stamp set to create this fun and simple card, with just a few crafting essentials! I had some tough decisions to make while creating these cards, so comment and let me know which is your favorite!
