Beautiful Bouquet Anniversary Card

Hello Kre8tors! So sorry I’ve been missing over the last week. It’s been hectic, baby, food poisoning, life changes… It’s been a lot! But I’m so happy to have found the time to make my husband’s grandparents a very special card for their 60th wedding anniversary. I wanted to make it super special, so I totally decked it out with all the bling! I’ve read that 60th is diamonds, so I wanted to get this card as sparkly as possible!

I don’t keep a very large stamp inventory, but I wanted to use something that was just right for this very special occasion. I decided to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with the coordinating die cuts. I’m so happy I chose this set, because it was perfect! I love the cute little Mr & Mrs tag hanging from the bouquet, as well as the Happy Anniversary sentiment.

I decided to use the Tufted embossing folder for the Whisper White Card Mat on top. I really liked how the Tufted folder looks with the solid white and Blueberry Bushel foil framing the sentiment cut out window. I think the embossing really makes the rhinestones stand out at each of the intersections.

I used a scrap of glimmer paper and more of that gorgeous Blueberry Bushel foil to cut out the flowers and bouquet pieces. I wanted to keep with a monochromatic theme, so I just used the blue foil along with clean white papers. I tied the little bow on the Mr & Mrs Tag and adhered it to the bouquet using a mini glue dot. I used a combination of dimensionals, glue dots, and snail to get this card ‘stuck’ together.

The rhinestones added just the right amount of bling to this card. I wanted this card to feel extravagant for this very special milestone. Every intersection on the Tufted embossing folder has a rhinestone, unless that intersection is covered by the bouquet. For the foil on this card, I wanted to maximize the foil I had, so instead of cutting one piece that measured 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, I cut a 3″ strip to cut out the blue frame, and then I cut 1/2″ strips from the remaining 3″ strip to frame the edges. This gives the appearance of a solid card mat behind the white mat, without having to use a lot of foil.

I stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment with Blueberry Bushel ink, and this card was finished! It actually came together very fast once I knew what I wanted to do, and cut out all the pieces! This card was inspired by a Pinterest pin from Lou Kitzelman. You can see her project here.

Seeing Hearts with the Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Kre8tors Blog Hop! If you haven’t been to our hop before, you’re in for a treat! We have 27 Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from all over the world collaborating to bring you some wonderful Valentines and Love themed projects. Be sure to read through each, leave a comment, and click the Next Button to hop around to everyone’s post, you really don’t want to miss out!

I first saw this adorable Triangle Treat Box from Beth McCullough over at Stamping Mom. They were so adorable, I had to CASE it, and add my own personal touch. The base is exactly the same as hers, except I added an embossing folder to mine. The embellishments on the front are my own design, and I really love how they turned out!

I used these as party favors at my Galentine’s Day card making class at the beginning of February. We made five Valentine’s Day cards, some of which you can see in my previous posts: Tufted Heart of Gold and I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

These really were fun to make, and I couldn’t stop! I think I made about 10 of them. They are addicting! They are also the first 3D project I’ve made in a long time! I’ve been making so many cards lately, it was really nice to get out of the card comfort zone and do something different. Do you prefer 3D projects or cards? Let me know in the comments!

Beth’s directions were super easy to follow, and she gave lots of great tips on how to construct this box. I’ve included what I learned in my video tutorial below. The Meant To Be Bundle really adds a special Valentine’s touch to the embellishments on this treat box. You can save 10% by purchasing the Meant To Be Stamp Set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies together in the Bundle.

Party Pandas SAB Card - 2

I really love how the yellow Glitter Enamel Dots compliment the Bermuda Bay cardstock. The Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper also adds a touch of shimmer to really make this card stand out. I just love the elements on this card, especially the Solid Basic Black Baker’s Twine behind the scalloped circle.

Party Time Shaker Card

I love a good shaker card, but what if you don’t have anything to “shake”? Just use 1/2″ circles! Heck, you could even use all the little bits of paper that come out of the thinlits and framelits. I’ve used some Dapper Denim and Silver Glimmer Paper circles inside this Party Time Shaker Card and love how it turned out!

This is a simple shaker card for both beginners and advanced crafters alike. The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set makes for some fun embellishments around the frame. I love a good shaker card, and one of my favorites that I’ve made is my Jar of Love Shaker Card using some beautiful sequins. What would you put in yours?

Measurements:

Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored @ 4-1/4″
Mat: 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
