Nature Inspired Card

I’m so excited about this card because it’s Nature Inspired! I’ve paired Winter Woods with Rooted in Nature to bring you this fun card. I used the Stamparatus to get a beautifully stamped background, and to get a sentiment rich in color! This card is a free make and take I am demonstrating at a charitable event, Let’s Stamp Out Hunger, on Saturday, April 6th!

I love how this card turned out, and I especially love the embossed background! I used the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on half of the card base. I have a great tip for embossing the front of your card. Check out my video at the link below to see how I did it!

I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the leaves, although on this sample my Wink of Stella got a little carried away! Be careful you don’t add too much. Although it kind of has a fun look to it, what do you think?

This card would definitely look beautiful in any color combination, but Crumb Cake and Garden Green really make all the textures on this card stand out! I love how the Stamparatus works so beautifully with the birch trees stamp from Winter Woods!

And that Burlap Ribbon adds a lot of spunk to this nature inspired card. I just can’t get over how much I am in love with this card! Be sure to watch my video below to find out how I put this card together, and to see a fun time lapse of me prepping some materials for the free make and takes for the fundraising event.

Let’s Stamp Out Hunger is an all day crafting event with several demonstrators providing Make and Takes throughout the day. There are raffles, door prizes, and a silent auction. All of the proceeds go straight to the Clatsop Emergency Food Bank. Our event is the largest fundraiser for the food bank and we are in our fourth year! If you’d like to donate, you can find that information in the Donate section of our website by clicking the image above.

Calligraphy Essentials and MASSIVE Sale-A-Bration Haul with Pam!

Hello Kre8tors! I’m so excited to announce we had a special guest Kre8tor on today’s video! My good friend and fellow crafter, Pam, shared her amazing HUGE haul with us. She took FULL advantage of the Sale-A-Bration promotion by purchasing her one year Paper Pumpkin Subscription, adding a few more items to her order, and raking in the Stampin’ Rewards to earn a TON of free stuff! Be sure to watch the video below to see all of her amazing goodies, as well as her project using the Calligraphy Essentials stamp set. Be sure to scroll to the end of this post to watch her video!

You too can earn lots of amazing goodies by pairing your Paper Pumpkin pre-paid subscription with the Sale-A-Bration promotion before it ends on March 31st! Here’s how you can do it:

.1. Head over to my online store and click on the Paper Pumpkin link on the left.

.2. Click on the Prepaid Subscriptions link.

.3. Click the subscription you’d like, and add it to your bag.

.4. Depending on the subscription you choose, you might want to add a little more to trigger the Stampin’ Rewards like Pam did. If that’s the case, keep shopping until you hit $250, then click Checkout.

.5. You’ll be notified how many Sale-A-Bration rewards you’ve earned. Click confirm, and then click on the link to claim your items!

.6. Shop for your Sale-A-Bration items by clicking the links, selecting your items, and adding them to your bag.

.7. Once you’ve added all your Sale-A-Bration items, don’t forget to redeem those Stampin’ Rewards you racked up! Click on the Learn More link at the top of the page to learn more about how your Stampin’ Rewards work and to see the hostess exclusive stamp sets you can purchase with your Stampin’ Rewards.

.8. If you are purchasing a hostess exclusive set, simply click Claim Rewards to add it to your cart.

.9. When adding other items, instead of clicking Add To Bag, make sure you click Claim Rewards to use your Stampin’ Rewards. Make sure you use them all up! You can go over a little bit if you find something you can’t live without and you only have a small amount in Stampin’ Rewards left. You can pay the difference.

.10. When you’re ready, simply click Check Out and finish your order.

That’s it! Now all that’s left is to head over to the Paper Pumpkin website, sign up (if you don’t already have an account) and enter in the subscription code that was sent to your email address after you checked out. And of course wait for all your amazing goodies to arrive!

In this order example, we earned 5 FREE Sale-A-Bration Level 1 items AND over $50 in Stampin’ Rewards! That’s a lot of FREE stuff!!! If you want to take advantage of this, be sure you do it before the end of March. Sale-A-Bration items are only offered while supplies last and some are already sold out!

Open Craft Christmas Card with Rooted in Nature Part 2

Hello Kre8tors! Here is the second card I provided to my customers at my Open Craft day who purchased the Rooted in Nature bundle from me in October. I found my inspiration for this card from Jan Clothier of Thinking Stamping. Her design was on Pinterest and included beautiful gold accents. I wanted to use what I had on hand, so I changed it a bit, but the poinsettia she created are gorgeous!

This is a simple and quick card that can be made in a short period of time. If you want to make it snail mail friendly, you can leave off the clear gems and use small circles punched out of gold or silver foil instead. I meant to demonstrate that in my video, but I forgot! And I love how the gems look as the centers of the poinsettias.

I meant to add a small bow to the side of the sentiment as well. That would be a great technique to show how you can easily step up this card design by adding a few more elements. I would love to see your stepped up version of this card! Send me a photo by tagging me on social media: @mkre8tions

The poinsettias were made using the Rooted in Nature bundle, and the sentiment is from the stamp set I’ll Be Home. I love the font used on this Merry Christmas. I think it’s just beautiful, with these made by hand poinsettia stamps.

A Happy Match

Hello Kre8tors and welcome back! Today we are getting FESTIVE with TWO amazing bundles, and I am so excited to share this project with you! I received a comment on my YouTube channel asking me to CASE the back of the Holiday Catalog. I hadn’t even really taken much notice to the projects on the back page until I read that comment. When I took the time to look at that photo, I realized how AMAZING it was! So thank you so much, Diana, for the suggestion!

This card used a LOT of TLC! I didn’t have any Designer Series Paper on hand, so I decided to ATTEMPT to make my own PLAID! Wow, that was tough. After one failed attempt, I decided to try a different method, and so this DIY DSP Plaid background paper was born! I go into a lot of detail in my YouTube video, link below. Be sure to check it out to see how this card came together!

All in all, using the materials I had on hand, I think this CASE’d card came out very well! What do you think? Are you ready to give this card a try with the materials that YOU have on hand? If you do, take a photo and upload it to Social Media, and TAG me! I’m on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest as @MKre8tions. You can also post a photo to my Facebook page!

One of my favorite things about the Winter Woods Bundle is how unique the framelits are! You are able to create some beautiful dimension and depth with these framelits. Love adding a hint of Wink of Stella to the boughs as well! When pairing the Winter Woods Bundle with the Rooted in Nature Bundle, it does make a Happy Match indeed! These sets work beautifully together! I can’t wait to play more!

Garden Green Cardbase: 4-1/4″ x 11″, Scored @ 5-1/2″

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop – Occasions Petal Palette

Welcome to the first ever 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m so excited to start this hop along with some very talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators! January’s theme is Occasions to celebrate the launch of our 2018 Occasions Catalog! There are some AMAZING goodies in this catalog so be sure to visit each of the links at the end of this blog post to see everyone’s projects!

My project was using the Petal Palette Bundle. I think this is one of my FAVORITE new sets! I am sure I will be getting SO much use out of this bundle! I colored in the roses with our new Stampin’ Blends markers in Rich Razzleberry and our tried and true favorites, the Stampin’ Write markers in Garden Green and Wild Wasabi for the leaves. I did not use the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to blend my colors because I love how the outline looks.

This is set against a background of Basic Gray and Smoky Slate with a few fun little flowers falling down from the top of the card. Life is so much better with you in it and I’m so glad you are here to start off this Blog Hop with us!

Cardbase: Rich Razzleberry 4-1/4″ x 11″, score @ 5-1/2″
