Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Fancy Folds

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today and we have some very fun folds to share with you! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

For my project today, I’ve decided to make a Half Easel Card. What I love so much about this fancy fold is that you have the large canvas of the inside card mat to play with, as well as a pop-up element to make the card a bit more… fancy!

I went with the Rooted in Nature stamp set because it had a large and interesting sentiment I could place on the right hand side of the inner mat, as well as an elongated image that is perfect for the narrow easel on the left.

Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake are the perfect colors for this card! It can be both masculine and feminine, and there are so many design changes that could be made. This will work with a variety of different stamp sets. Use your imagination and show me what you come up with! Tag me on Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook! @MKre8tions

Here’s my video tutorial to demonstrate how this card is made. Be sure to visit my YouTube channel and click that SUBSCRIBE button! It helps me to continue making videos for you to enjoy!

May Kre8tors Technique Blog Hop

Hello and welcome back to the Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m really excited for this hop because it’s all about techniques! Each of the wonderful demonstrators that are participating with us in this hop have showcased either a stamping, inking, or folding technique of some sort. This is a great opportunity to see some amazing projects and perhaps learn something new! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of each post and click that Next button to hop along to everyone’s projects!

The technique I’m showcasing sort of sneaks up on you when you open the card. The front of the card looks pretty normal, very clean, not a lot going on. Very simple. Beautiful on it’s own, but then you open it…

And all of that dimension and detail fill the card! This technique is called the “Inside Tunnel Card” and I learned this from watching fellow crafter Jennifer McGuire on YouTube. Her ideas are so creative, I love to CASE them using Stampin’ Up! products. One of the best parts about this card is that it folds FLAT so it can be mailed easily!

I featured First Frost on this card for all the imagery, and the sentiments are both from Tea Together. This card of course is for my wonderful Mother, and she’s going to be receiving it TODAY! So I hope she’s not watching the video or following her Facebook feed today! But in case she is, then I’d like to say, Happy Mother’s Day!

December Christmas Inspiration for Kre8tors Blog Hop

It’s time to get Komfy, it’s time to get Kozy, it’s time to get Kre8tiv! Welcome back Kre8tors! Today we have a super fun blog hop for you to follow because we are showcasing Christmas Cards! To me, nothing beats a cold, wintery day bundled up inside with some hot coffee, a huge sweater, and craft time! So come hop along with some amazingly talented Stampin’ Up!®️Independent Demonstrators from around the world and get inspired during our Kre8tors Blog Hop!

I am so in love with these cards, it’s ridiculous! They just seem super cozy to me, and I’m not sure if it’s because it reminds me of a house and Christmas time, or just what it is… Of course I was scouring Pinterest for some inspiration and came across a post from The Paper Collage with a cute little French Door Gatefold Card. I definitely had to CASE it and tweak some aspects to be able to use the materials that I had on hand.

For the red card I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and Whisper White Craft Ink for the distressed areas. I used Very Vanilla on the inside and stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobber ink. The greenery on the doors is done with Shaded Spruce Cardstock, and the bow is made out of some Whisper White Baker’s Twine. I added two little silver brads for the door knobs, and YAY! French Doors!

The second card is a little more elegant, with a Whisper White base and metallic accents. You can see how it all came together in my video tutorial below!

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 2-1/8″ from each end.
Whisper White Panels (2 of each size):
1-3/4″ x 3-1/4″
1-1/2″ x 3″
1-1/2″ x 1-3/4″
1-1/4″ x 1-1/2″
Whisper White Mat: 3-3/4″ x 5″
Shaded Spruce Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Champagne Foil: Scrap approximately 2″ x 5″

March 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop with Amazing You

It’s that time again, time for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Yay! This month’s theme is Birthdays and I think this project is a PERFECT birthday card/gift because it holds a GIFT CARD! And bonus, it’s a fun fold card with a Double Slider! Woot! I’m so excited to be hopping once again with so many talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators! Be sure to click the Next button at the bottom of this blog post to hop along!

I knew I wanted to use two Sale-A-Bration sets on this card, Lots of Lavender and of course Amazing You (for the Birthday portion of the card.) I also knew I wanted to make a Double Slider card. The last one I made was SO long ago, I needed to find some newer dimensions. So I took to YouTube and found Julie Davison’s tutorial. I used her dimensions, and made a few of my own alterations to turn this into a gift card holder.

I made two different color versions. The one featured in my coordinating YouTube tutorial features Berry Burst and Smoky Slate. I LOVE this color combination so much! I also threw in a few pops of Old Olive for the leaves and one of the glitter enamel dots.

The Let’s Celebrate and Amazing You sentiments came from the Amazing You Sale-A-Bration stamp set, and the floral images on the front of the card came from the Lots of Lavender Sale-A-Bration stamp set. I’m so happy with how these cards turned out! What color is your favorite? Don’t forget to pick up these Sale-A-Bration stamps for FREE with a qualifying purchase before they retire! March 31st, or while supplies last!

Measurements:

Smoky Slate Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″, & 8-1/4″
Berry Burst Bases (x3): 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
Whisper White Mats (x2): 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
Fresh Florals DSP: 4″ x 6″
Berry Burst Scrap: 1″ x 2-1/2″

ICS Blog Hop Last Chance SAB

Hello and welcome to the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop! This month’s theme is Last Chance Sale-A-Bration, because this awesome promotion ends on March 31st! I’m using the Happy Wishes Level 2 set on this awesome Shutter Card! Be sure to check out all of the wonderful projects in this month’s hop by using the Next button at the bottom of this post.

This was my first time making a shutter card, and I LOVE it! It’s so much fun to make a card with such a different twist. I couldn’t believe how simple this technique was, I want to make loads more!

I started this card by stamping the “best” stamp from the Happy Wishes set in Crumb Cake and then I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the leaves, dots, and flowers. I adhered that to a Crumb Cake oval, and then added some ribbon loops behind with the Finely Woven Ribbon.

I stamped the “wishes” stamp on Whisper White and then cut that out with a small circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. This card came together so quick once I cut all the pieces. To see more details, check out my video that has all the instructions for you to make a shutter card of your own!

Measurements:

Powder Pink Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 2-1/8″ & 6-3/8″
Tranquil Tide Banners (x2): 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″, score @ 1/2″
DSP Outside Panels (x2): 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″
DSP Inside Panel Mat: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Inside Panel Base: 3″ x 5-1/2″
Scraps: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
