Multi Technique Card with Petal Palette

It’s almost time to say goodbye to a bunch of amazing products in the current Annual Catalog. One of those products we will be sending off is the Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating thinlits dies. This set has been one of my all time favorites! I wanted to make one last beautiful project to share with you. If you haven’t picked up this set, I encourage you to grab one for yourself before it’s gone.

I needed a Baby Shower card for my Brother and Sister-in-law, and Petal Palette was there for me. I didn’t have anything baby specific, but I thought the sentiment in this set was perfect.

I used several different techniques on this card, thus the “Multi-Technique” title. We have the Smooshing technique on the background, watercolor and ribbon coloring, partial masking, and finally double die cutting. See my video below to check out all the techniques used on this card!

Supplies Haul & Occasions Samples

Oh boy Kre8tors, you’re in for a real surprise today! Not only do I have a super long chit chat video for you to enjoy, but I’m sharing TWO amazing projects with you using products from the Occasions catalog! I’m so excited about these! Let’s get started!

This card was made using the Floral Romance Suite products on page 11 from the Occasions Catalog. I used almost all the products in this suite, except for two! I started with a piece of Petal Pink from the Floral Romance 12″ x 12″ Cardstock Pack, which includes the three colors that coordinate with the Specialty Designer Series Papers.

I love that this cardstock comes in a larger size, perfect for 3D projects such as boxes. I decided to cut my piece down to a standard card base. I then cut a card mat and ran it through the Big Shot Die Cutting and Embossing Machine with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It gave this card such a huge pop!

I fussy cut by hand some of the leaf bunches from the vellum sheet in the Floral Romance Specialty DSP pack. I didn’t cut as many as I wanted, because I was making this card during a live Facebook video and wanted to cut down the time. It is still gorgeous with fewer pieces! I also cut out some sprigs of plain vellum using the coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies.

Curious how to see my live videos and sneak peeks? Simply place an order with me, or join my team! You will then gain exclusive access to my closed VIP Stamp Lounge on Facebook! You can also follow my public business page on Facebook to see updates and other news!

I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig and cut it out using this beautiful detailed oval from the coordinating die set. And finally, after gluing it all down, I added the beautiful Floral Romance seal. These seals are great because it adds so much flair and they come on the sheet sticky, ready to go!

Floral Romance Measurements:

Petal Pink Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Score @ 4-1/4″
Petal Pink Card Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Scrap
Vellum Scrap
Floral Romance Specialty DSP: Decorative Vellum Scraps

Floral Romance Materials:

Big Shot

$110.00

And now for our SECOND card of this post! We are featuring the Amazing Life Bundle with those INCREDIBLE and AMAZING Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies! You HAVE to see what these babies can do! Be sure to head over and check out my corresponding YouTube video!

This card was super simple, takes very few materials, and was so much fun to put together! I started with one color, Bermuda Bay, and added some Whisper White cardstock. I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies to cut out a frame and the center portion. Then I used my Stamparatus to place my images in the coordinating Classic Stampin’ Pad color.

I adhered the outer frame down with our Snail Adhesive and I popped up the center piece with some of our Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last few finishing touches included tying a bit of Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the center piece and placing a few Basic Jewel Rhinestones. That’s it! Super simple, really quick, and fun!

Amazing Life Measurements:

Bermuda Bay Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Score @ 4-1/4″
Whisper White Frame & Center: Start with 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Use Largest, 3rd Largest, and 4th Largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits

Amazing Life Materials:

First Frost Blueberry Bushel Card

Hello Kre8tors! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been able to get on and post let alone film a video! I was able to find some time tonight to play with my new Christmas goodies that are helping me get better organized and a bit more professional! My customers got a first hand look at my new toys when I went live to make this beautiful First Frost card in my private Facebook group.

I really love how this card turned out. I wasn’t sure about using Blueberry Bushel at first, but when I saw Melissa Gifford’s card on Pinterest, I really wanted to try it out! I tweaked it to use what I had on hand, but for the most part stuck with the overall layout.

The Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White are so lovely together, especially when you throw in some Glimmer paper and Vellum! And can we just give those Epoxy Droplets a moment?! They are STUNNING with this bundle! I love everything about how this card turned out!

Be sure to check out my video tutorial below to see how it all came together, and to get a peek at my new video backdrop! I’m SO in love! Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge for the Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop

Welcome back Kre8tors! Today we are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. crew! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity! This month’s hop theme is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I’ve never participated in a TTT Challenge before, so I was really excited to give this a try!

We were tasked with choosing three squares in a row, either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal from the image below. I knew that I needed to make a special Birthday card for my Sister-In-Law, and her favorite color right now is yellow, so I chose the three horizontal squares in the middle.

I also knew that I wanted to use my host exclusive stamp sets, Artfully Folded and Very Vintage. I have been eyeing both of these stamp sets, and haven’t been able to think of anything very creative for them. I searched Pinterest for ideas on the Artfully Folded, but could only find three projects! I was very surprised! So, not only was this set perfect for my Sis, but it will hopefully inspire more out there to see the beauty in this sweet stamp set!

As I was going through the challenge, I had to keep adding bits and pieces, because I forgot which line I was trying to complete on the TTT Challenge graphic! So, here is a progression of my additions to complete the challenge line.

For the first image, I colored in the flowers with Pineapple Punch and a Blender Pen. Then I colored the leaves with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blend marker. I stamped the Swan outline in Tuxedo Black Memento, and then stamped the fill in with Pineapple Punch. You can see I’m a bit off in my stamping for this first project, but I figured it out in my video tutorial below! Come learn with me and find out how to stamp the image inside the lines! I cut my square out of the Stitched Shapes Framelits, but once I had this all put together, I realized I was still missing TWO of the elements from the challenge.

I inked up some of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon with a sponge dauber and some Pineapple Punch ink, and decided to add a little bit behind the flowers. Once I was done with that, I AGAIN didn’t have all three elements in a row from the TTT Challenge graphic. I knew it was a birthday card, but it didn’t SAY it on the card!

Well, that’s where the Very Vintage stamp set came to my rescue! It has an adorable “Happy Birthday” sentiment, that I think matches the tone of this card beautifully! So, I added my banner, and a couple sequins, and this card was complete! Looking back now, I think I could technically complete at least two more lines on the TTT Challenge graphic. What lines do you think I can complete with this card?

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this card has inspired those of you who own these stamp sets to get them out and play! And for those of you who don’t have these sets yet, have I changed your mind? They are so much fun to play with, and I can’t wait to continue designing beautiful projects with them! February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop with Lots of Lavender

Welcome to the February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! This is our second hop, and I’m so excited to continue working with so many talented demonstrators in sharing our passion for paper crafting! If you’d like to check out our first blog hop, you can start at 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop – Occasions Petal Palette. Be sure to click the Next button at the bottom of this post to hop over to Amy’s blog to check out her fantastic project! In case you get lost along the hop, there is also a Roll Call list below the Next button.

For my Sale-A-Bration item I decided to use the Lots of Lavender stamp set. This is a GORGEOUS set and it’s really versatile. I’ve used this set on my Clean & Quick Card and thought it came out beautifully, but wanted to step it up a little. So this card was born!

I love how clean this card looks with just two main colors and a pop of an accent color. I used Rich Razzleberry for most of the coloring as well as my accent pieces and cardbase. Lemon Lime Twist was used to color in the leaves and stem. I did use just a touch of the Powder Pink in the ribbon holding the lavender bunch together. Oh, and we can’t forget the Clear Wink of Stella to give it the slightest shimmer.

The Stampin’ Blends are so much fun to color with! I used both the light and dark Rich Razzleberry markers to color in the petals on my lavender bunch. I decided to keep the petals full color and not use the Color Lifter to blend it out. I really like how crisp this looks against the white accents on the card. I also used some beautiful Classic Weave Ribbon in Whisper White to lace behind the lavender bunch.

Since the Lots of Lavender stamp set doesn’t come with any sentiments, I opted to use the Petal Palette Bundle to add the finishing touches to the card. I used both the label framelit and trellis thinlit to spruce up my sentiment at the bottom of the card. This paired with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits, I thought the card really came together well. I also added a little more pops of green for contrast with the Glitter Enamel Dots. LOVE the bling!

This project was so fun to put together! I hope you enjoy the video tutorial towards the bottom of this post to see how it all came together. Don’t forget to check out the other members of this Blog Hop by viewing the Roll Call List at the bottom of this post, and clicking the Next button to continue on through the hop!
