Eastern Palace Mandala Card and Desk Plant

I love the Eastern Palace Bundle! It makes such BEAUTIFUL cards with the mandalas (medallions). I also wanted to share a cute little card buddy I made, a desk plant! I was going for a succulent vibe, but ended up with green flowers. I still love it so much! It’s the perfect accent to use when photographing my projects.

I participated in the Color Inkspiration Challenge 26 from Facebook for this project. It was a tough one, but I think I did pretty well. I really wanted to make a 3D project for this challenge, but couldn’t decide between that and a card, so I made both! Here are the colors from the challenge:

I really enjoyed these projects, and love how the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon weaves in and out from behind the mandala. It adds a lot of sparkle to this muted card. I also used the Gold Vinyl Stickers from the Eastern Palace Suite which add a nice touch.

For my little potted plant, I used a fun technique that I have made time and time again, because paper flowers are fun! Check out my video below to see how the flowers are made. I also wanted to make the pot for my flowers match the card, so I stamped it and adorned it with the same metallic edge ribbon.

Clean & Quick Cards SERIES 16 – Eastern Beauty

There’s something about pink and black that I love. I think it’s the sharp contrast between a Bright and Neutral color. Eastern Beauty takes some of the smaller stamps and lets them shine in this Clean & Quick card.

This card could easily be stepped up by adding a stitched shape where the sentiment is and adding some thread or baker’s twine and of course adding some bling with rhinestone embellishments.

Decorative Chocolate Box with Eastern Palace

I don’t think I have given the Eastern Medallions Framelits enough chances to really shine this catalog… They are just absolutely STUNNING! I wanted them to be the star of the show on this beautiful little Decorative Chocolate Box.

I don’t think I’ve pulled these framelits out since I used them on one of my Stamping Saturday videos earlier this year. They really are a fun way to add a decorative touch without a lot of fuss!
