August 2019 Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Holiday Catalog

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

This month we are sharing Holiday Catalog projects! The new catalog will be available for customers to order from on September 4, so we hope you enjoy all of this cheerful inspiration to fuel your wish list! I decided to pre-order the Toile Tidings Suite Bundle, which came with not one, but TWO stamp sets with coordinating dies, two rolls of Ribbon, one pack of DSP, one pack of Gift Wrap, and some Glitter Enamel Dots. This bundle of products is perfect for coordinating multiple projects as well as all of your holiday cards!

I just love the cardinal, and wanted to make sure my first project was with him. I absolutely ADORE this bird, and think he came out really well. I watercolored the branch he sits upon, and a little bit of him as well. You can check out how I put this all together in my video tutorial below.

I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) the catalog to make this card, and so glad I did because I learned a lot about how to best use these products and what tricks I can use on my future cards. The bow turned out beautiful! There are so many different bow tying methods, but this one is my favorite. I show you how I achieve this bow in my video tutorial.

December Christmas Inspiration for Kre8tors Blog Hop

It’s time to get Komfy, it’s time to get Kozy, it’s time to get Kre8tiv! Welcome back Kre8tors! Today we have a super fun blog hop for you to follow because we are showcasing Christmas Cards! To me, nothing beats a cold, wintery day bundled up inside with some hot coffee, a huge sweater, and craft time! So come hop along with some amazingly talented Stampin’ Up!®️Independent Demonstrators from around the world and get inspired during our Kre8tors Blog Hop!

I am so in love with these cards, it’s ridiculous! They just seem super cozy to me, and I’m not sure if it’s because it reminds me of a house and Christmas time, or just what it is… Of course I was scouring Pinterest for some inspiration and came across a post from The Paper Collage with a cute little French Door Gatefold Card. I definitely had to CASE it and tweak some aspects to be able to use the materials that I had on hand.

For the red card I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and Whisper White Craft Ink for the distressed areas. I used Very Vanilla on the inside and stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobber ink. The greenery on the doors is done with Shaded Spruce Cardstock, and the bow is made out of some Whisper White Baker’s Twine. I added two little silver brads for the door knobs, and YAY! French Doors!

The second card is a little more elegant, with a Whisper White base and metallic accents. You can see how it all came together in my video tutorial below!

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 2-1/8″ from each end.

Whisper White Mat: 3-3/4″ x 5″
Shaded Spruce Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″

Open Craft Christmas Card with Rooted in Nature Part 2

Hello Kre8tors! Here is the second card I provided to my customers at my Open Craft day who purchased the Rooted in Nature bundle from me in October. I found my inspiration for this card from Jan Clothier of Thinking Stamping. Her design was on Pinterest and included beautiful gold accents. I wanted to use what I had on hand, so I changed it a bit, but the poinsettia she created are gorgeous!

This is a simple and quick card that can be made in a short period of time. If you want to make it snail mail friendly, you can leave off the clear gems and use small circles punched out of gold or silver foil instead. I meant to demonstrate that in my video, but I forgot! And I love how the gems look as the centers of the poinsettias.

I meant to add a small bow to the side of the sentiment as well. That would be a great technique to show how you can easily step up this card design by adding a few more elements. I would love to see your stepped up version of this card! Send me a photo by tagging me on social media: @mkre8tions

The poinsettias were made using the Rooted in Nature bundle, and the sentiment is from the stamp set I’ll Be Home. I love the font used on this Merry Christmas. I think it’s just beautiful, with these made by hand poinsettia stamps.

Measurements:

Cherry Cobbler Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Score @ 4-1/4″
Whisper White Mat (x2): 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Scrap: 1″ x 3″

Christmas is Coming ICS Blog Hop

Welcome to another blog hop with the Inspire, Create, & Share crew! We are a group of global independent demonstrators with Stampin’ Up!®️ that love to Inspire, Create, and Share projects with you! This month’s theme is Christmas is Coming and we were tasked with creating a 3D Christmas Gift Idea. I decided to show off how to package a Christmas gift using some amazing products!

My name is Melissa Tennison, and I’d love to tell you about my project today!

I’ve taken our Mini Pizza Box and turned it into the perfect packaging for a small gift such as homemade treats, jewelry or gift cards. I’ve also made a coordinating card to go with our fun little gift box. I’m calling this Rose Gold because of all the shades of glittery, glorious pink and sparkly-ness!

I found my pinspiration for this card from Melissa Stout of The Stamp Doc. Her card was so beautiful, I wanted to make one of my own! I used the Rose Glimmer Paper, and Berry Burst and Smoky Slate for my color scheme. I love using gray as a neutral, and often pair it with bold colors to really make them stand out. I’ve also thrown in a little bit of Champagne Foil to give the border a little bling.

The snowflakes were created using the Blizzard thinlit die. It cuts out SOOOO many snowflakes all at one time! It’s amazing for making a lot of blizzard cards. I added some rhinestones to the centers of my snowflakes, as well as around them. This is one of my favorite holiday cards this year!

For my Mini Pizza Box, I made a belly band out of the Champagne Foil, tied some ribbon around it, and then added some Rose Metallic thread and a snowflake to the top. I scattered a few more snowflakes and sequins on the box, and my packaging was done! It was that quick! Check out my video below to see some awesome tips and tricks for both of these projects!

Be sure to hit the Next button below to hop on over to our lovely hop coordinator’s blog. Deb has an amazing project using the Calligraphy Essentials Kit!

Smoky Slate Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Score @ 4-1/4″

Elegant CASEd Card with Winter Woods & the Stamparatus

Today we are using some “Pinspiration” for this gorgeous and elegant CASE’d card using the Winter Woods Bundle. I know, I know… maybe you are getting a little tired of seeing the Winter Woods Bundle in action, but I can’t help it! It’s such a fun set to play with! And this elegant card was CASE’d from a card by Mary Fish of Stampin’ Pretty. Her card was so gorgeous I had to recreate one of my own!

I used Smoky Slate for the card mat, and Gray Granite for the stamped images. Silver Foil accented the sprigs behind the Stitched Shapes Framelit and a bit of Linen Thread tied it together well. The vellum makes a beautiful, soft accent to really enhance the elegant qualities of the card.

You know how much I like my bling, so I decided to add a few Rhinestones to the sentiment. All in all, this card turned out well and was so much fun to put together! I used this card in my Winter Woods Bundle class that I held a few weekends ago. It was a huge success, and everyone loved the background featuring the amazing Stamparatus! See it in action in my video below!

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Scored @ 4-1/4″
Smoky Slate Mat: 3-3/4″ x 5″
Whisper White for Stamped Trees: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
Vellum: 2-3/4″ x 4″
Whisper White for Sentiment: Approximately 3″ x 3″
Silver Foil for Sprigs: Approximately 3″ x 6″
