Peaceful Poppies Thank You Cards

Hello Kre8tors! Thank you cards are always needed. Someone gives you a gift, someone does you a kindness, or maybe you want to give them as a gift to someone else who would appreciate the work and love you put into your kre8tions. I hope you find these thank you cards inspiring and give them a try!

The Peaceful Poppies Suite Bundle makes this card super simple. I used a standard Whisper White card base, and then stamped the splatter images from the Painted Poppies stamp set. I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and cut it out on my die cutting machine using the coordinating Painted Labels Dies.

The poppy accent is from the Peaceful Poppies Elements. So easy to just pop it out of the pre-cut thick card stock sheet and adhere it with a glue dot. There’s also vellum and watercolor pieces with the elements that can really elevate your card game.

Probably one of my favorite items in the Suite Bundle would have to be the Peaceful Poppies Sequins. There are a variety of shapes and colors, and they add the perfect bling to the project. I always like to add them in batches of 3 or 5, and adhere them using some Liquid Glue along with the Take Your Pick tool. It’s super helpful when trying to pick up those tiny sequins!

The black swirl accent in the background is so much fun and reminds me so much of the Swirly Bird set. It adds just the right background element on this card. I stamped the sentiment using StazOn ink in Jet Black. I love how crisp and clean this card design looks.

I really hope you enjoyed this card design. I would love to see you case it! Just tag me on social media. You can find me just about everywhere with @mkre8tions

Mountain Air Bundle Birthday Sunset

Hello Kre8tors! Thanks so much for coming back! And if you’re new here, welcome! I’m glad you found your way to my blog. Today I’m sharing a birthday card I made for my brother using the Mountain Air Bundle.

I knew as soon as I saw this card I was going to make it for my brother’s birthday. I thought a sunset would look so beautiful behind those mountains! I cut them out from Basic Black card stock to give the illusion of a silhouette.

I cut four trees from Basic Black card stock as well, two of the detailed trees and two of the smaller solid trees. I thought those could represent the four members of his family. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment using the Label Me Bold stamp set and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Powder on a scrap of black cardstock. This really made it stand out nicely!

I used the masking technique for the sun to get it bright white in the background. I love this technique, and using a sticky note makes it super easy!

Be sure you take a look at my video tutorial to see how this card came together, and the creative process of me struggling to find just the right placement for all these pieces!

Christmas Gift Tags Day 1

Hello Kre8tors! Today we are talking about Christmas Gift Tags. I usually leave these to the last minute, because I don’t always know how many gifts I’m giving. I typically do all of my shopping before I wrap and tag my packages. So I need some super simple and fast tags that I can whip up in a few minutes, especially for those days when I just procrastinate a little too long!

This week I will be rolling out a series of tag videos to help inspire you to get your tags made. There are several different styles which all feature a little unique flair. I hope you enjoy all of the tags, and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on my video tutorials.

This first tag of the week was a lot of fun to make. I ran one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies on Very Vanilla cardstock through the Big Shot and layered it onto a Cherry Cobbler or Garden Green cardstock scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies. I stamped my sentiment from Tidings All Around onto the Very Vanilla circle. Then I used the greenery stamp from the same set and stamped it in Garden Green on the top and bottom of the circle. I used the little dots that look like berries and stamped them in Cherry Cobbler on top of the greenery pieces.

I punched a whole at the top of the tag, and then stamped the To and From stamp from the same stamp set onto the back. I threaded some Garden Green Stitched Ribbon and Real Red Ruched Ribbon through the small whole, cut angles on the ends, and then used some Linen Thread to cinch down around the ribbon. This allows for some thread tails to tie onto the packages without wasting a lot of the beautiful ribbon.

I absolutely love the way these tags turned out! They are so festive and would look beautiful on so many different wrapped packages. Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite tag style is,
round or rectangle?

To me, nothing beats a cold, wintery day bundled up inside with some hot coffee, a huge sweater, and craft time! So come hop along with some amazingly talented Stampin’ Up!®️Independent Demonstrators from around the world and get inspired during our Kre8tors Blog Hop!

I am so in love with these cards, it’s ridiculous! They just seem super cozy to me, and I’m not sure if it’s because it reminds me of a house and Christmas time, or just what it is… Of course I was scouring Pinterest for some inspiration and came across a post from The Paper Collage with a cute little French Door Gatefold Card. I definitely had to CASE it and tweak some aspects to be able to use the materials that I had on hand.

For the red card I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and Whisper White Craft Ink for the distressed areas. I used Very Vanilla on the inside and stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobber ink. The greenery on the doors is done with Shaded Spruce Cardstock, and the bow is made out of some Whisper White Baker’s Twine. I added two little silver brads for the door knobs, and YAY! French Doors!

The second card is a little more elegant, with a Whisper White base and metallic accents. You can see how it all came together in my video tutorial below!

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 2-1/8″ from each end.

Open Craft Christmas Card with Rooted in Nature Part 2

Hello Kre8tors! Here is the second card I provided to my customers at my Open Craft day who purchased the Rooted in Nature bundle from me in October. I found my inspiration for this card from Jan Clothier of Thinking Stamping. Her design was on Pinterest and included beautiful gold accents. I wanted to use what I had on hand, so I changed it a bit, but the poinsettia she created are gorgeous!

This is a simple and quick card that can be made in a short period of time. If you want to make it snail mail friendly, you can leave off the clear gems and use small circles punched out of gold or silver foil instead. I meant to demonstrate that in my video, but I forgot! And I love how the gems look as the centers of the poinsettias.

I meant to add a small bow to the side of the sentiment as well. That would be a great technique to show how you can easily step up this card design by adding a few more elements. I would love to see your stepped up version of this card! Send me a photo by tagging me on social media: @mkre8tions

The poinsettias were made using the Rooted in Nature bundle, and the sentiment is from the stamp set I’ll Be Home. I love the font used on this Merry Christmas. I think it’s just beautiful, with these made by hand poinsettia stamps.
