August 2019 Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Holiday Catalog

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

This month we are sharing Holiday Catalog projects! The new catalog will be available for customers to order from on September 4, so we hope you enjoy all of this cheerful inspiration to fuel your wish list! I decided to pre-order the Toile Tidings Suite Bundle, which came with not one, but TWO stamp sets with coordinating dies, two rolls of Ribbon, one pack of DSP, one pack of Gift Wrap, and some Glitter Enamel Dots. This bundle of products is perfect for coordinating multiple projects as well as all of your holiday cards!

I just love the cardinal, and wanted to make sure my first project was with him. I absolutely ADORE this bird, and think he came out really well. I watercolored the branch he sits upon, and a little bit of him as well. You can check out how I put this all together in my video tutorial below.

I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) the catalog to make this card, and so glad I did because I learned a lot about how to best use these products and what tricks I can use on my future cards. The bow turned out beautiful! There are so many different bow tying methods, but this one is my favorite. I show you how I achieve this bow in my video tutorial.

Goodbye 2018 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2018 May Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month’s theme is all about the retiring products from the Occasions catalog, which are now while supplies last until May 31st! So, be sure to hop along to each participants blogs to check out their wonderful inspiration projects and grab these supplies before they retire at the end of the month, (unless they sell out before then!)

It’s Mother’s Day today here in the United States, and I’ve decided to create a beautiful card using the Petal Palette suite for my mom. Now, the stamps and the dies from the Petal Palette bundle are NOT retiring per say, however the discounted price to get them in a bundle IS retiring. So you will still be able to get your hands on these items, just not at a 10 percent discount. So if you really love this set, I highly recommend picking it up before the month’s end!

One of the reasons I love this set so much is the adorable little bird! He’s so cute and squishy, and I love how he can perch on just about anything! On this reverse eclipse card, I have him perched on top of the M in the word MOM.

I used Very Vanilla cardstock for my base and top mat layer. I used a piece of Fresh Fig from the 2017-2019 In Colors for the middle mat layer. I stamped my base images in Memento ink, and colored them in with the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Duo colors, (light and dark). I used the Color Lifter to give the flowers a lighter and more natural look.

I stamped the greenery in Old Olive, and used my Fresh Fig to stamp the accent flowers. I stamped two of them in full ink, and two of them using second generation ink. (Inking the stamp, stamping it once, and stamping it again without re-inking to get a lighter image.)

I really love this set, and it has been one of my all time favorites since it’s debut in the 2018 Occasions catalog. I’m SO glad this made it into the new Annual Catalog, which will be available to customers to view starting at the beginning of June! Yay! 😀

Measurements:

Very Vanilla Cardbase – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″
Rich Razzleberry Middle Mat Layer – 4″ x 5-1/4″
Very Vanilla Top Mat Layer – 3-3/4″ x 5″
Very Vanilla Scrap – Approx. 4″ x 5-1/4″

Occasions Unboxing & Petal Palette Card

Hello Kre8tors! I went live on my Facebook page the other day and unboxed this BEAUTIFUL box full of goodies! I was a little hyped up on caffeine, so it got a little crazy! I also whipped up a card using the brand new Petal Palette Bundle!

I quickly searched Pinterest for some inspiration and came across Lou Kitzelman’s post and decided to CASE her design. I believe she used the DSP that coordinates with the Petal Palette Bundle (which I didn’t get…yet…) so I substituted and made my own using one of the stamps.

I had a lot of fun going live, and it’s been a long time since I have, but I’m excited to bring you more LIVE videos on my Facebook page, and I’m hoping to get back to Melissa’s Kre8tions LIVE on YouTube soon. I hope you enjoy this fun video!
