First Frost Blueberry Bushel Card

Hello Kre8tors! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been able to get on and post let alone film a video! I was able to find some time tonight to play with my new Christmas goodies that are helping me get better organized and a bit more professional! My customers got a first hand look at my new toys when I went live to make this beautiful First Frost card in my private Facebook group.

I really love how this card turned out. I wasn’t sure about using Blueberry Bushel at first, but when I saw Melissa Gifford’s card on Pinterest, I really wanted to try it out! I tweaked it to use what I had on hand, but for the most part stuck with the overall layout.

The Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White are so lovely together, especially when you throw in some Glimmer paper and Vellum! And can we just give those Epoxy Droplets a moment?! They are STUNNING with this bundle! I love everything about how this card turned out!

Be sure to check out my video tutorial below to see how it all came together, and to get a peek at my new video backdrop! I’m SO in love! Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Petal Palette Birthday!

Hello Kre8tors, I’m Melissa from Melissa’s Kre8tions and welcome to another Kre8tors Blog Hop! I’m really excited about this one because it’s my birthday! How fun that my birthday falls on hop day! To celebrate, our theme is birthdays! So take a moment to enjoy your favorite beverage and hop around to all of the talented demonstrators from around the globe participating in today’s hop!

My card today features my favorite stamp set, Petal Palette! I’ve also thrown in the coordinating Petals & More Thinlits dies, and the new Buffalo Check background stamp. I used the Round Robin technique on my Stamparatus to stamp my circle (or square) of flowers. Love this technique! It’s just another great way to use this amazing stamping tool!

I used Mint Macaron for my card base and the ink on the buffalo check background and Blackberry Bliss as my card mat and ink on my focal image and sentiment. I love this layout design, as it is perfect to use with nearly any stamp set!

When using the Stamparatus to do the round robin technique, you can get very different results depending on the size of your stamp, and where you place it in your template. You can see in the first photo it looks slightly more rounded, and in the second photo it is more square and more spread out. See my video below to find out how I created my focal image on the Stamparatus!

I hope you enjoyed my project and video tutorial today! Please be sure to click the next button below to hop on over Rebecca-Jo’s talented blog to see her fun birthday project!

Happy Wishes SAB Card

The Sale-A-Bration set Happy Wishes is making its debut in my collection on this beautiful card! I’ve used some delicious Watercolor Paper with an Aqua Painter and three main colors; Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride, and Powder Pink. Adorned with gold accents of glimmer paper and foil sheets, this is one luscious card! I can’t wait to show you how this card came together!

I submitted this card for two different color challenges. Both challenges had the same color scheme, and I’m so excited with how it turned out! The first challenge is from TGIF Challenges and is a color challenge that required participants to use Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, and Powder Pink. I used all of these colors on the watercolor paper, and also brought out the Sweet Sugarplum more with a mat and my main stamped image. Check their challenge out by clicking the icon below.

I also decided to add bits of gold. And by bits I mean LOADS! I love how sparkly and shiny this card is with the added Gold Glimmer Paper, Gold Foil Sheets, Gold Vinyl Stickers, and Gold Sequin Trim.

And adding the gold accents was PERFECT for the next challenge from Sunday Stamps. They also had a color challenge and gave us a palette of beautiful swatches to work from. To visit them, click on the image below! There are some amazing projects to inspire your creativity!

I really think this card is one of my new favorites! It has a little bit of everything, especially that BLING! I want to give a HUGE thank you to one of my downlines, Ma, for making this card possible with her generous gift of the Happy Wishes stamp set! Thank you, Ma! ❤

I used a fun technique with the Stampin’ Write Markers to get the splotches on the background. See the video below for details. You can get this Sale-A-Bration set for FREE with a qualifying purchase! This set is part of Stampin’ Up!’s brand new Level 2 Sale-A-Bration rewards! Learn more by clicking HERE.

Petal Palette Bundle Reverse Negative Card

I went live over on my Facebook page for the first time in a little while to make up for the Stamping Saturday that I missed at the beginning of the month. I featured my favorite bundle of the Occasions catalog, Petal Palette (of course! lol) I used the negative images that I cut out using the coordinating thinlits dies and made this fun reverse negative card!

I really love how this card turned out! The colors I used are Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist. They compliment each other so well, and the contrast is sharp but appealing. For the sentiment I used Whisper White cardstock along with the label framelit from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies. I trimmed the label slightly so that you would be able to see the trellis cutout behind.

I also used some of our Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven Ribbon and layered our Whisper White Organza Ribbon over the top for added texture. A few pearls adorn the sentiment, and boom! Done!

Measurements:

Night of Navy Cardbase: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 4-1/4″
Lemon Lime Twist Inside Mat: 4-3/16″ x 5-7/16″
Whisper White Scrap for Sentiment
Lemon Lime Twist Scrap for Trellis
