ICS Blog Hop Beautiful Bundles

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop today and we have some very fun bundles to share with you! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

I’ve decided to showcase the Sailing Home Bundle today, along with a few extra bits from the suite of products that coordinate beautifully. I’ve scoured Pinterest for some layout inspiration and came across Heather Klump’s beautiful project which you can see here. My layout is almost identical to Heather’s, but she used an older Stampin’ Up! set for her focal pieces.

I rarely make square cards, or any card that isn’t the standard 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, but this one really stood out to me. I loved the tile look and the floating accents in the foreground. It was a lot of fun to put together and not as time consuming as I thought it might be.

And I absolutely love the Sail Away Trinkets! They just add a pop of shine. I did color mine with an Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blend alcohol based marker, but it would look beautiful heat embossed in some copper or gold embossing powder as well.

Check out my video tutorial below to see exactly how this card came together, and subscribe to my YouTube channel for more video tutorials!

Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Fancy Folds

Hello Kre8tors and welcome to another Blog Hop! We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today and we have some very fun folds to share with you! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

For my project today, I’ve decided to make a Half Easel Card. What I love so much about this fancy fold is that you have the large canvas of the inside card mat to play with, as well as a pop-up element to make the card a bit more… fancy!

I went with the Rooted in Nature stamp set because it had a large and interesting sentiment I could place on the right hand side of the inner mat, as well as an elongated image that is perfect for the narrow easel on the left.

Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake are the perfect colors for this card! It can be both masculine and feminine, and there are so many design changes that could be made. This will work with a variety of different stamp sets. Use your imagination and show me what you come up with! Tag me on Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook! @MKre8tions

Here’s my video tutorial to demonstrate how this card is made. Be sure to visit my YouTube channel and click that SUBSCRIBE button! It helps me to continue making videos for you to enjoy!

July Kre8tors Blog Hop Floral

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the July Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month our theme is Floral. I decided to showcase the Bloom and Grow Bundle to demonstrate my version of the “reflection” technique using Vellum paper. I really love how this turned out, and it was so fun to create! Check out my video tutorial on my YouTube channel and be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more floral inspiration!

I really love how soft the reflection portion of this card turned out. I used my Stampin’ Blends to create a vibrant top and a subtle bottom using the Dark and Light Stampin’ Blends in each color.

The stamping process was fun, but I do recommend stamping the floral pattern on your vellum and WALKING AWAY for a good while to allow the ink time to dry. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a smeary mess, which is not fun! Because I colored this with our Stampin’ Blends which are alcohol based markers, I used the water based black ink Memento stamp pad.

Once I had everything stamped and colored, I did a little background stamping with a “second generation” Smoky Slate and started adhering my pieces. I finished it off with some lovely Rhinestones and this card was done! Every time I look at this font I get chills, I just love it so! Be sure to check out my video tutorial below and click that next button to hop along to all of our other amazing floral projects!

July ICS Blog Hop Punch Me Out

Welcome to the ICS Blog Hop! Today we are sharing projects using punches, so I’ve decided to use a few classics from the Annual Catalog. CIRCLES! I’ve used three different circle punches on today’s card and I really love how it turned out!

It’s very similar to the Tunnel Card I made earlier, however on a much smaller scale with not quite as much dimension. Some people call this a porthole as well, like the windows on a ship. What would you call it? Let me know in the comments below!

I really love how soft the Champagne Foil is on this card. It is a beautiful color! It’s very soft, and elegant I think. Silver and Gold are beautiful and have their place, but there’s just something about this Champagne that says “I’m here and I brought the Bubbly, er, MYSELF!”

I accented the 1/2″ Champagne circles with two of the dies from the Detailed Peacocks Dies. I love these little branch dudes. They are so pretty! And I especially love the Champagne foil paired with the Basic Gray. It really makes a lovely combination.

Measurements:

Whisper White Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, Score @ 4-1/4″
Basic Gray Mat: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
Whisper White Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Champagne Foil: Scraps

June Kre8tors Blog Hop Dads & Grads

Welcome back to the Kre8tors Blog Hop! So glad you are joining us for this Dads & Grads themed hop! Be sure to scroll down to the Roll Call List to hop along to the next demonstrator for some wonderful inspiration!

I am SUPER excited about my project today because it’s colorful, fun, and DIFFERENT from anything I’ve done! The bundle I’ve used is called Sailing Home and includes the cling mount stamp set along with the Smooth Sailing dies. This sea-worthy set was the first item I purchased from our new annual catalog, and I’m so glad because it’s been amazing!

I tried to replicate the sailor’s knot in the stamp set on the front of my card for a little added something. This is a very special card for a very special man in my life; my father. He’s been my true North, for sure! Teaching me right and wrong, showing me how to be independent and strong.

He is also a fan of tie-dye, so I thought the vibrant and colorful background was perfect for him. This card features a technique that I haven’t used before. I’m not sure if it has an official name, but let’s just call this the Partial Die Cutting technique.

Want to see how it’s done? Check out the video below, and then come back and hop along to see more amazing inspiration for this Dads & Grads themed hop!
