I’ve just listed another 12 DeStash Yarn listings in my Etsy shop and I’m about to list a ton of hand spun art yarn! Need a little fun accent on a project? Love to use fiber as a medium? Just want to buy all the yarns and pet and stare at them all day?! Come check out what I’ll be posting tonight! Here’s a sneak peak!

Spinning for Peaks and Valley Scarf

I have almost finished the spinning for my Peaks and Valley scarf, made from Dicentra Designs color way October. The fiber is blue faced Leicester, so soft and an awesome spin! Can’t wait until I can get this one finished! It’s on the top of the list.

Projects to Finish

I have quite a few projects that I would like to finish before I start any more knitting projects. A few of them have been in the works for a long time! Now that I don’t have school to occupy all of my time, I can focus on getting them done!
The first on the list is the Peaks and Valleys scarf. The pattern is on Ravelry. I started working on this one over a year ago. I spun the yarn from some fiber purchased from Dicentra Designs. I adore this color combination and think that it looks great with the pattern. I spun it very thin and Navajo plied it to keep the colors together.

I started The Traveling Woman shawl back before October 2010. I was going to use it as a wedding shawl, but the weight seemed too heavy for a wedding shawl so I decided to put it on hold. The yarn is a gorgeous merino silk blend. I think it is from Louet, but I can’t remember for sure. It’s been a while since I spun it.

And this last one is from Ysolda Teague, her Snapdragon Flip-Tops. I started these just after I made the Snapdragon Tam, but only got one finished. Just like a pair of socks, I can only ever seem to get one done at a time. But it’s on my list of things to finish this summer!

Of course I have a million other projects on the needles right now, but I really don’t have the time to put all of them on here. I have most of them up on Ravelry, so if you’re in that neighborhood, look me up! ^_^

Knitting in November

Well, it’s been quite awhile since my last post. I apologize, things have been hectic and crazy busy. There have been a lot of new developments in my life, but I won’t bore you with the details. Instead, here are a few projects that I have been working on lately.

This is a brioche scarf that I am knitting out of Mini Mochi. It’s incredibly soft and squishy. It will be so nice to wear around the neck. I think I have about 3 balls and have only used one so far. I’ve been knitting on this one for a while, but other things have come between it and me. But I will pick it back up soon!

I made up this simple wrap pattern. The yarn is Dream in Color Classy, which I adore. The bottom is seed stitch, with a garter stitch center. The seed stitch border will go all the way around the garter stitch and will close with three small teal colored metal buttons. This is one of those travelling projects because it is rather mindless, but still a good project to knit on while chatting with friends over coffee.

This is a sweater that I am working on for Matt. The pattern is called Reese from Queensland Knitting. It’s a nice pattern, but it has seams. I have yet to do a seamed sweater, so it should be interesting. The yarn is also Dream in Color Classy. I love that stuff.

This is one of my favorite projects! It is the Peaks and Valleys Scarf made out of my homespun. The fiber is blue-faced leicester hand dyed by Dicentra Designs. I navajo-plied it so that the colorways would stay together. I am really loving this scarf, but need to spin up another 4 ounces before I can finish it.

Another wonderful pattern from Ysolda Teague, Snapdragon Flip Tops. These are fingerless mittens that have a flip-top cover to protect the fingers from the cold. I have already made the Snapdragon Tam which I have posted about several times, so I can’t wait to get these mitts finished! I have one done, and only one to go! *Also made out of Dream in Color Classy*

This is the Travelling Woman Shawl. This is also made out of homespun and is a mix of Merino and Silk. It’s nearly finished, but there are a few more repeats to go. This will be a nice evening shawl or summer shawl because of its lightweight.

The Wave Scarf which I started sometime ago. I tried weaving in some ribbons as I knit, but ran out quickly. I will have to find some more ribbon before I can finish this one. The yarn was bought from a store in Seaside called Creative Beginnings. Very cute store! The yarn is very soft and has a good weight to it, I think it is called Lava Paints, or something to that effect.

And finally, my Wicked Sweater. I have been knitting on this since 2008! Although I haven’t been really knitting on it, it may have been finished long ago if I would have just kept my nose to it. Now it’s nearly finished with only one sleeve left!

So that’s what I’ve been up to lately. Let me know what projects are on your needles! I’d love to post about it and share it with the world!
