ISS Blog Hop May 2020

Hello Kre8tors and welcome! Today’s card is VERY special because it’s actually made by MY HUSBAND! That’s right, he wanted to make his mom a special card for Mother’s Day, so he re-created one of my Honey Bee Bundle cards and put his own twist on it.

We are hopping with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop today! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post and click that Next button when you’re done here to hop along to the next amazing project!

He started off his card in a very similar way to the card I originally made. You can see my card over on this blog post. He wanted to tweak my design and really make it his own. I think he did an amazing job for only having made a small number of cards before.

He used two larger bees and one smaller bee to represent him, me, and our son Oliver. I thought that was so sweet and very clever! He did leave off the extra honeycomb pieces that I had put on my card, but I think I like this cleaner style.

He used our Paper Snips to fussy cut the sentiments and adhered them with Snail to the top of the stamped hive. He popped the hive up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the watercolored and heat embossed background.

Using the sentiment from A Wish For Everything, he heat embossed this sentiment on the inside flap. I often times forget to decorate the inside of my cards, and he did a wonderful job adding lots of fun elements to the inside of his.

He called this detailed bee the Queen Bee and said it represented his mother. He’s such a clever guy! If you are interested in seeing what he’s up to since staying home, you can follow him on Instagram or check out his Etsy shop where he has been making jewelry.
