KBH May 2020 Floral

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! This month’s theme is FLORAL. I’ve decided to use the beautiful Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to make a Mother’s Day Card for my mom. Here in the U.S., today is Mother’s Day! So hopefully she doesn’t see this post before I give her this beautiful card!

Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more floral inspiration!

I knew I wanted this to be a bright and fun card that used a lot of purple, so I found this beautiful piece of designer series paper and pulled out the Rich Razzleberry to be my focal piece in the middle.

The sentiments from A Wish For Everything were perfect on this card! I love the mix of cursive and bold fonts together. I stamped both of these in Memento ink on scrap Whisper White Card Stock and then fussy cut them out.

I really loved how this ‘coiled medallion’ gave this card another floral vibe. I used the Nature’s Twine in Rich Razzleberry, and coiled it up on a circle of Vellum. Then I used the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon to loop around the circle to make it look like a daisy. I thought I liked it before adding the ribbon, but now I think I love it! What do you think?

Of course I had to throw in a few of those Peaceful Poppies Sequins. They are so fun and come in such a great array of colors. They really finish off this card well. I’m going to miss them when they retire next month! If you haven’t had a chance to play with them yet, get some before they’re gone!

I’ve made a video tutorial for you to watch and learn how to make that fun twine coiled medallion. Take a peek below, and be sure to hit that subscribe button! It allows me to keep making videos for you!
