I am SUPER excited about my project today because it’s colorful, fun, and DIFFERENT from anything I’ve done! The bundle I’ve used is called Sailing Home and includes the cling mount stamp set along with the Smooth Sailing dies. This sea-worthy set was the first item I purchased from our new annual catalog, and I’m so glad because it’s been amazing!
I tried to replicate the sailor’s knot in the stamp set on the front of my card for a little added something. This is a very special card for a very special man in my life; my father. He’s been my true North, for sure! Teaching me right and wrong, showing me how to be independent and strong.
He is also a fan of tie-dye, so I thought the vibrant and colorful background was perfect for him. This card features a technique that I haven’t used before. I’m not sure if it has an official name, but let’s just call this the Partial Die Cutting technique.

Your card has definetly a big WOW! The bright colours pop against the clear front- really love it!
The very first thing I was drawn to was your double knot! I just made a project (not using Sailing Home) and I wasn’t impressed with my single version. So, of course now that I just received the Sailing Home products, I want to go make a card with your knot. I also love how you kept the lighthouse as part of the circle. Adding this to the CASE list!
