Seeing Hearts with the Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Kre8tors Blog Hop! If you haven’t been to our hop before, you’re in for a treat! We have 27 Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from all over the world collaborating to bring you some wonderful Valentines and Love themed projects. Be sure to read through each, leave a comment, and click the Next Button to hop around to everyone’s post, you really don’t want to miss out!

I first saw this adorable Triangle Treat Box from Beth McCullough over at Stamping Mom. They were so adorable, I had to CASE it, and add my own personal touch. The base is exactly the same as hers, except I added an embossing folder to mine. The embellishments on the front are my own design, and I really love how they turned out!

I used these as party favors at my Galentine’s Day card making class at the beginning of February. We made five Valentine’s Day cards, some of which you can see in my previous posts: Tufted Heart of Gold and I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

These really were fun to make, and I couldn’t stop! I think I made about 10 of them. They are addicting! They are also the first 3D project I’ve made in a long time! I’ve been making so many cards lately, it was really nice to get out of the card comfort zone and do something different. Do you prefer 3D projects or cards? Let me know in the comments!

Beth’s directions were super easy to follow, and she gave lots of great tips on how to construct this box. I’ve included what I learned in my video tutorial below. The Meant To Be Bundle really adds a special Valentine’s touch to the embellishments on this treat box. You can save 10% by purchasing the Meant To Be Stamp Set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies together in the Bundle.

  1. Oh, I am going to case your boxes for my next class. I don’t really celebrate the Valentine’s but I think I prefer a 3d treat over a card. Valentine’s feel like a perfect opportunity to make and give one.

  2. Lovely treat box! Your video makes it look so easy! The embossing is beautiful on this box…..actually, I love everything about it! I’m going to case this treat box for my Easter class.

  3. Wow Melissa, the little box is stunning. I really love 3d projects and need them more often then a card. But of course i like cards too….Love the glimmer paper hearts, and i am looking forward to see your video- as soon as i ended my round through the blog hop! Thanks for your wonderful work with this Hop again!

  4. Wonderful project and thanks so much for the detailed video. I actually have both tools! I might just try this for the craft fair I am attending this weekend, the question is how many to make?

  5. Melissa, your treat box is adorable! And it holds quite a bit too. I really appreciate your tip in the video for scoring an angle.
