Welcome back, Kre8tors! Today I’m sharing this First Frost Belly Band Card with you and I am SO excited! One of my all time favorite color combinations is Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green (Bright Pink and Lime Green.) In fact, when I started Melissa’s Kre8tions, one of my very first logos was done in similar colors as you can see from my OLD (2008) graphic below!
I originally made this card for the members of my VIP Stamp Lounge on Facebook. I reserve the group for my customers and downlines. I post live tutorials, share sneak peeks, and more. Want to get in? All you have to do is become a customer (place an order) or join my team!
I am totally in love with the First Frost stamps and dies. It makes creating SO simple and quick! I did take some design inspiration from Shirley Jones Taylor of Paper Doll Designs. I saw her card on Pinterest and knew I wanted to CASE it and show it off to my group.
I think the biggest difference between my card and hers is that I turned the white cardstock into a belly band to wrap around the card. That and the colors are very different. I decided to make two versions, with subtle differences between both. You can see these differences, with tips, in my video below.
I really love the addition of the sequins. I think it really makes the card stand out. And the metallic thread is one of my favorites! I really like the look it gives behind the flowers and greenery. And of course a pop of glimmer paper offers a nice touch of bling!
