Kre8tors June Blog Hop Featuring New Annual Catalog

Welcome to the June 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop! Today we are all about celebrating the amazing, brand new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog! This beautiful book is full of amazing ideas and products to make the next crafting year totally AWESOME! I am so excited to show you my project and I hope you hop around to all of the other talented demonstrators taking part in this month’s hop by clicking the Next button at the end of this post!

To check out the new catalog, be sure to visit my Catalogs page where you can download a pdf copy of this stunning 240 page book, chalk full of amazing ideas and inspiration!

For my project, I’m diving right in to the beautiful hostess exclusive set, Very Vintage. This stamp set is GORGEOUS! I love the vintage aspect, and the floral element is so pretty and delicate. It almost reminds me of something you would see on fine china.

Both of these cards are made in a similar layout, but the colors make them both VERY different! For the muted, brown and mint card I used Crumb Cake and Call Me Clover. For the bright, red and black card I used Basic Black and Lovely Lipstick.

Look on the page that features hostess exclusive stamp sets to see the sample that I CASE’d from the Annual Catalog. I didn’t have all of the same materials that were used in the catalog sample, but I think I did pretty darn well!

I really like how the muted tones turned out on this card. I stamped off the Call Me Clover before stamping it onto my card mat to get a more mint green instead of the vibrant green it actually produces with full ink. There’s something about brown and mint green that I just love!

The red and black are also beautiful and, in my opinion, very elegant. It’s really hard for me to choose a favorite color scheme between these two because they both offer something very different. Which one is your favorite?

For the sentiment, both the border stamp and the “You’re a blessing” stamp are from the Very Vintage set and make a very adorable accent to pop up this card. I also really love the little bee that comes with this set. He makes such a but accent and really blends in nicely to the muted background. I used the 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon along with the Pearls for a little bling on the muted card, and swapped out the Crumb Cake for the Whisper White ribbon on the Red and Black card.
