Ink & Share Blog Hop Spring

Hello and welcome to another Ink & Share Blog Hop! March’s theme is Spring/Easter and I’m so excited to share my project for this hop! The sun is shining and the birds are singing, it’s such a lovely day that I knew I wanted to feature a floral card for this month’s hop. I really love the look of Pink and Gray together. There’s something whimsical in those colors that softens the white background. I saw a similar design on Pinterest and knew I wanted to use the same colors with the Petal Palette stamp set.

I started with a Whisper White standard card base, then added two layers to give a step effect. I stamped the polka dot stamp all over the background, variegating the ink tones as I stamped from the bottom to the top of the cardstock. I also used an Aqua Painter with the Powder Pink and Basic Gray to splatter the background for the added texture.

I stamped the roses in Powder Pink, and the leaves in both Smoky Slate as well as Basic Gray. I really like the two tones of gray on this card. I think it makes the subtle pink pop a little more. I stamped the sentiment in the Memento Black ink.

I also added a few of the Glitter Enamel Dots in the pink tone. I really love how this delicate card turned out! It’s a great mix of shabby chic and feminine grunge. I don’t have a video tutorial for this card, as I didn’t craft this in my office. I’m hoping to get back to a somewhat regular video schedule soon!
