Cozy & Bright Kit for Christmas Cards

I know it’s been a minute since you’ve heard from me, and I’ll be posting about that soon, but can we just talk about how cute the Cozy & Bright Kit is?!

I recently moved and left AAALLLLLL my Stampin’ Up! products behind. Don’t worry! I’m going back for them later, I just won’t be able to get them for a little bit. That’s why I got the Cozy & Bright Kit. I knew I needed an all-inclusive kit to get jump started in my creativity.

The orange slices and cinnamon sticks are a HUGE part of my plans for this year’s Christmas decor so imagine my delight when I opened this kit to see those beautiful embellishments staring up at me! You can see me put this card together and catch up on where I’ve been in my YouTube video below.

I Moved Halfway Across the Country and I Might Have To Quit Stampin’ Up!

Hello my beautiful kre8tors! I’m afraid I haven’t done a very good job at keeping you informed, or “coming back” as I had hoped. I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and have been on and off for the better part of 13 years. Even when I left Stampin’ Up! previously, I always came back to it. I just couldn’t stay away!

Well, I’m at a new chapter now and at a rather sad crossroads. In 2020 I started a business called 3 Mile Lane Co where I sell my hand drawn art on stickers, stationery, drinkware, apparel, and other bits and pieces. I focused so heavily on growing that to supplement my income, that Stampin’ Up! was put aside, though it was still a very large focus for me.

In that time, I have grown as a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a creator, and a business owner. Priorities have shifted, and life has changed in a way that I never really thought possible. After nearly 38 years of living in Oregon, my husband, son, and I have literally sold nearly all our belongings and moved to Kansas to start over. The decision was not made lightly, and although it was difficult for us to leave Oregon and my family, we know we are making the best choices for our future selves.

My husband has found a wonderful job, we have finally found a home of our own, and we are starting to settle in to our new lives. Given the choice, I would not leave Stampin’ Up!, and there is still a slight glimpse of hope on the horizon that I won’t have to, but as a demonstrator we are tasked with meeting sales goals. I have yet to reach my minimums for this quarter, which are due by the end of September.

As we are not in a financial position for me to meet the minimums myself, I am turning to my family and friends whom I have loved creating alongside over the past decade. If you are or have been a customer of mine, and are looking to add some wonderful new products to your collection, now is the time! You can shop my online store by clicking here.

If I am unable to meet my minimums for September, I will be dropping off until I am able to put more attention to my demonstratorship again. I have loved every second of creating a crafty space and YouTube channel for you. And even if I have to leave Stampin’ Up!, I still intend on making this page and my tutorials channel on YouTube a crafty place to find inspiration and tutorials for all sorts of crafts, and not just papercrafts.

I so hope to see you all again soon!

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more New Catalog inspiration!

Hues of Happiness by MKre8tions-1

I am SO excited to share my project from the brand new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog with you! I used the new Hues of Happiness Suite which includes the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and coordinating Blossoming Happiness Dies as well as the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper AND the Glossy Dots Assortment.

Hues of Happiness by MKre8tions-4

Creating from a suite makes an entire project effortless! You know that all of the products will coordinated beautifully and you can make SO many different designs!

Hues of Happiness by MKre8tions-3

For my project today, I decided to make a cute little floral box for a very dear friend of mine. This box is 2″ x 2″ x 4-1/2″ and is made from a piece of Starry Sky cardstock.

Hues of Happiness by MKre8tions-2

I used the Gilded Leafing as a beautiful gold accent on the top and stamped the sentiment with Starry Sky on Basic White Cardstock. I stamped the flowers and greenery with Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party and used the same colors to water color the images. I also sprinkled in some of the Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide for dimension on the images.

Hues of Happiness by MKre8tions-2

I tied the box together using the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon, which is a returning favorite.

I don’t have a coordinating YouTube video today, but I’m hoping to film one for this adorable little box soon! Make sure you are subscribed to my YouTube channel so you know when it is posted.

April 2022 Kre8tors Blog Hop Free For All

Welcome Kre8tors! So excited to have you here for the Kre8tors Blog Hop! Be sure to use that Next button below to hop along to the next amazing blog post for some more crafty inspiration!

I have a confession to make…

If you’ve been a customer or a demonstrator of Stampin’ Up! for awhile, you will notice that the Designer Series Paper that I used on this card is no longer available. That means I am breaking one of my very own Blog Hop Rules of only using current products. BUT I do have a good reason for why!

Most of you know that I was absent from posting about Stampin’ Up! the last half of 2020 and for nearly all of 2021. It wasn’t for a lack of interest in the company or products anymore. I always have and always will LOVE it.

The reason for my absence was that I started my own business, and that takes a lot of time and dedication. I just couldn’t do it all, so I had to put a few things to the side so that I could focus on growing. If you’re curious about what it is that I do now, you can head over to 3 Mile Lane Co to learn more.

So, let’s talk about today’s project. You may recognize that the DSP I used is definitely no longer available. In fact it’s a few years old! I made this project, and filmed the coordinating video below, when this stamp set was a Suite! I just never got around to posting it.

The stamp set and punch are still current products, and I really wanted to share this card with you, so that’s why I’m using it today! (And let’s just breeze over the fact that I edited the video and drafted this blog post at 10pm the night before it was due!!)

So, the truth is, there is nothing that I want more than to make YouTube videos with Stampin’ Up! products all day long for you! But with the demands of my business (which is my full time job!) I just can’t get to everything, right now… I’m really hoping I can do a few things that will free up some more of my time so that I can make room for the things I enjoy so much, like making projects to share with you!

So if you made it this far in the post, THANK YOU! You are the reason I continue to post as much as I can! I hope I can continue bringing you crafty inspiration! And I really hope you hop with us this month to see the other incredible projects from so many of my talented, and more active, Stampin’ Up! friends!

Kre8tors Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Welcome Kre8tors! Today we are crafting with a sketch challenge! I’m so excited to see what everyone comes up with for this sketch. If you’d like to try this sketch, make sure you tag me on social media @mkre8tions so I can see your version!

KBH Card Sketch 3-22-01

Sketch Challenge Using Cactus Cuties

As soon as I saw the Cactus Cuties set from the Mini Catalog I knew I had to have it. I’ve recently become obsessed with succulents and this adorable stamp set spoke to my soul.

Sketch Challenge Colors

I knew right away that I wanted to use this year’s retiring in-colors because I have A LOT of paper left! 😅 These were some of my favorite in-colors from recent years. I used Misty Moonlight for the base of the card and brought in some Bumblebee and Just Jade for my stamped accents.

Sketch Challenge Details

I’ve also been on a HUGE gilded leafing kick lately, and I wanted to hide the un-embossed edges of my blue cardstock. This beautiful metallic accent can really help hide those oopsies! 😁

You know it, I also had to throw on a couple of the Iridescent Rhinestones for that bling bling!

Sketch Challenge Video Tutorial

Here’s my video tutorial for you to see more in-depth details for today’s card. I really hope you’ll consider subscribing to the channel while you’re there!
